  1. Your question's already been answered but they're very dear at that price. I got some in my dads Camry about 3-4 years ago and no probs with them at all. I think they cost around £80 then for HB4 bulbs which do both low and high. 6000k is the most popular colour temp. but personally I'd go for 4300k. I would've had 4300k fitted if I kept the 2002 gs300, but LS was the one for me as a lot more comfortable and without the air suspension of the LS430
  2. I like it, bout time I gave mine a blow out. I think it's good for the car to stretch out now and again Even if it's just to blow away the cobwebs and produces a load of smokey carbon ( very ) briefly ............. did this on a sluggish volvo estate once and the BANG !!! shook me but blimey, did the car move a lot better afterwards. Malc Malc Bet it shook ya Malc, expecially when not expecting it. The bang is scary on an lpg car when the spark leads are out (mostly on the single point systems).
  3. Looked in my local ASDA earlier in the week and it's back to normal price .. sad ! Malc :(
  4. There's not too many differences in the two and they're both as good as each other. I went for the mark 4 just because it's slightly newer and for the xenon headlights (they make a big difference). I had a mark 3 for a short time as I bought it to sell to my uncle and thought it was just as good.
  5. Thanks for the tips John N and Bobo. I'll be better off buying 20 litres as it's a lot cheaper in the long run, but 5 litres at £11 is v v good for Mobil 1 which is normally atleast £35 I think??

  7. Hi, Thanks guys for the replies. I will try and stick a dvd disc in and see if it reads it. If it does laughing, if not will keep searching for a disc (cd).
  8. Thanks for the replies guys. I wouldn't normally take it so high up in the revs. I had just picked an evo 4 up and my mate was driving it next to me in the lights and revving it so I had to wipe the smile off his face :winky: Ha ha, he couldn't get away from me and I ended up passing him I managed to speak with my installer and he also advised the spark plug gap is normally closed a bit to make it run right on lpg. I'm going up to see him next week for a tune up as will be quite overdue its first checkup. It should all be well once done. I will keep you posted.
  9. Hi All, Anyone with a mark 4 on lpg, can you please recommend some spark plugs for me and what gap I should have them set at? At the minute the gap is most likely standard as when I get high up in the revs (5000+) my car jerks slightly!! I reckon it's due to the plugs and the gap. I had the same problem with my Aristo TT. I'm sure my car is overdue a service and i've also done over 1000 miles on lpg so due an lpg service and tune up. Thanks in advance B
  10. Got my wheels refurbed. They wanted £60 a wheel to get the polished look back but I decided to go for a powder coat and laquer as cheaper for me at minute. Aso had 4 wheel alignment done.

  11. Hi All, Can anyone tell me if a DVD Sat Nav disc will work in the mark 4? I have noticed everyone is mentioning cd all the time so unsure. I am about to buy one and it's a dvd so unsure if I should buy. Also does anyone know if a 2003-2006+ DVD disc will work in the ls? Thanks B
  12. Thought Steve covered it adequetly. I use fully synthetic but the cheapest tyres at the time. I'm just about to change the oil on mine for the first time and thinking of using either Lucas oil, Castrol or Mobil 1 but can't decide which to go for? Any suggestions? I have given my wheels in for a refurb and should get them back on Monday :) I have purchased 4 new Nankang tyres which cost me £155 approx as the cheapest option for me at the moment. Just spent a lot of money on the new Lpg system.
  13. Hi, I've not come across this problem before but on BMW's 2002 onwards (maybe earlier ones), when the battery goes flat, the dash lights up like a christmas tree (all warning lights come one). After a short drive, they go out. I suggest you take the car for a run and see if it makes a difference, if not you need to get a scanner onto it to read the fault code/s.
  14. Maybe the opportunity could be taken to now " name and shame " some of these businesses that we think rip us off !!! Maybe another section in the LOC Forums ? Malc I think it would be a good idea as it will stop anybody else getting ripped off
  15. Hmmmm well this site Lexusparts lists them as slightly different part numbers and the LS430 part is $20 cheaper. Thanks for this and you're right. The part numbers are different and the ls430's are cheaper but when looking at the diagrams, they're the same! I would expect the ls430's to be dearer but it's the opposite way round. It's a tricky one. I think I'll get onto ADL tomorrow and ask them if they have them down as different. Maybe it's just the part numbers are different? LS400 (2000) model http://www.lexuspartsnow.com/online/Page_Product/PartDetail.aspx?model=LS400&year=2000&catalogCode=431420&VAID=4062&selectConditions=(8=USA)&sectionID=1&componentsID=19-01&componentsIndex=21&isBigPicture=True LS430 (2002) model http://www.lexuspartsnow.com/online/Page_Product/PartDetail.aspx?model=LS430&year=2002&catalogCode=431430&VAID=4070&selectConditions=(7=USA)&sectionID=1&componentsID=19-01&componentsIndex=21&isBigPicture=True I remember I went to get some bonnet washer jets for my Evo from Mitsubishi and they had one of the jets at £15 and the other at £29 or something similar and there was no difference in the two! What a scam but the guy there told me they are the same and gave me them both at the cheaper price. Anyone else know if there is any difference in the coil packs?
  16. Does anyone know if the coilpack on the mark 4 ls400 and the ls430 are the same?
  17. You're definitely right in saying the supermarket fuel is poor quality. They buy the cheapest fuel to sell it at a cheaper price, but it is at the same time the worst fuel. I always use shell fuel as I personally believe it's the best. It must be good if Ferrari use it
  18. Cool. Got to go down there sometime. I've just forked out on my car and the lpg conversion so the conversion seems a bit much at the mo. If I didn't have the lpg done i'd be tempted, but then would cost me an arm and aleg to run the car. My Uncle managed to get 510 miles off £50 lpg other day :) He went to London and back with the car fully loaded with 2 suitcases in the boot. Filled up in Bradford for £0.55 litre and the at £0.70 on the motorway. Not bad at all for a v8 (he has a R1997 LS with the older none vvti engine).
  19. What's it costing for a refurb my DHP's are not bad but have some under paint corrosion so It won't be long before I need to do the deed. The place I go to charge by the inch and a little extra depending on what you want doing. I got a set of speedline safari's done a few months ago and a great job too. It's gonig to cost me £64 to have them refurbed (well rubbed down probably sand blasted and then painted and laquered). I've got to have the tyres removed (there's only about 3-4mm left on them but I have some brand new ones purchased). Then will cost me approx. £25 to have the new tyres fitted and all four wheels balanced so say £100 in total but maybe a little extra if I decide for a chrome coat.
  20. The quote I got was from www.driveandview.com and they are based in Dorset, Poole. It is quite far down the country for me to get to so by the time I get there to have the conversion done, it will wotk out quite dear. I'm on the good old lpg, but would probably stay the night and soon the costs will add up. I would like to do the full conversion with the headrest screens for the kids, but might go for something that plugs into the cigarette lighter. I was originally going to purchase an ls430 premium pack but the air suspension put me off! Would've had it all in there but not meant to be. I understand they don't go wrong (suspension), but if it did, I'd be out of pocket pretty sharpish! Let me know if you find anything on the above.
  21. I need to pull my finger out and get my wheels refurbed and get the new rubber on there
