  1. I have a fixed mileage policy at 5,000 miles
  2. Nice to meet you Steve (I was the first of the TIF lot to arrive) who was the guy I parked next to, there early? Just wondered if that photographer from Banzai turned up?
  3. I'm 24 this June, I documented my insurance experience: http://toyotaimportsforum.co.uk/forum/show...light=insurance PM me if you need advice or want to see my car, I'm in Hants
  4. Well i've contacted at least 4 who haven't wanted to know when talking about servicing. These cars aren't UK spec, so they won't have been trained on them, anything learnt is from experience.
  5. www.smiffies-soarer-sanctuary.com Bit of a drive from Oxfordshire but worth it. Powerhouse are expensive. Toyota dealer? You must be having a laugh most of them if not all will tell you to *****. (Do you really want someone touching your pride and joy who don't know what they're doing)
  6. Stealth systems and powerflow exhausts have both been used by other soarer owners I know, both with very positive feedback. Both have garages in Southampton. Since you have a V8, you have no option but go for a custom built stainless system, around 600/700 I expect.
  7. Though half of my stuff aint working, but i'm doing it bit by bit... :-)
  8. You could also say the SC 400 was a USA only model too, because it was ;-)
  9. With a decent catless free flow exhaust, modified headers, skimming, and a BFI intake it has been argued that 300 is achievable, possible slightly more. With Harry's ECU mod (still WIP) and a shift kit (also avail from Oz) I don't see why 310-320 shouldn't be achievable. The problem is really getting the tuning parts to this country. The BFI is a DIY job. Exhaust system has to be custom for the V8, due to its dual pipe system. Importing from Japan isn't really an option and I'm told Blitz don't cater for the V8 anymore. The TT is the one if you want to tune it up. Basically if you want an 11 second V8 over the qtr stretch, you need to design and install your own supercharger and / or move to Australia where they have the expertise and the parts (and the desire to modify).
  10. ? mine has an indicator stalk that beeps... do you mean the standard GTL one? Isn't it like that on the TT? Loaded is very loaded but don't forget the GTLs have far more inside than GTT
  11. LOL haha no its not my car, but couldn't find any recent photos with the spoiler on (those ones are ancient, a litte dark, doesn't do it justice). I've got some decent pics from when I was at JAE will put them up soon. Do resent a little having to name it an SC 400, but then I guess this is the LEXUS owners club not the toyota one (trying not to spark of the old debate again!!)
  12. I disagree the PIAA top end bulbs out perform blue visions, although they cost twice as much! I also bought 9006 and 9005s and trimmed the lugs.
  13. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...&CODE=12&CID=62 The pics were taken about 12 months ago, going to upload some more recent ones soon.
  14. I think they would but couldn't guarantee the wiring would be the same (probably)
  15. toned down not tuned down lol No need to bring your butt into this.
  16. I wouldn't risk 70w bulbs in your soarer, you're right 55 is the standard. I'm running 60w PIAA platinum whites which do just fine, £35 from ebay - massive improvement over the std koito bulbs.

    Spoiler

Why don't you want the rear break light in the spoiler? It looks good and is safer. Rand you must have seen the UZZ30, it has no extras like our Ltd's. Fairly common though seen much more UZZ31s.
  18. £2300 its going to be a piece of junk most likely, let him keep it! Thing is with these cars is if you don't get a well kept one it will cost you upwards of £2k in the first year alone! £9495 even at trade prices is excessive. For that money aim for the later VVTi models circa 1996-1998. I would pay maximum 5500 for a decent nick 1994 V8.
  19. SC250 doesn't exist, it was never released in America (as far as i'm aware) You are talking about the JZZ30 2.5 twin turbo, its a Toyota (left hand drive)
  20. read about Andrew Vlamos bushes at www.planetsoarer.com they are the best money can buy! I'm getting some as soon as the xmas expense is over and done with!
  21. Actually I think there were some late 91 SC400s but they are always listed as 1992. Essentially they are the same cars but some parts are slightly different e.g. dashboard trim, electrical components. I'm trying to find out if I can use an SC400 aircon compressor in my V8 Soarer, they cost a bomb over here!
  22. Agreed it can be done for under £100 and is a huge benefit for both the V8 and TT - do it!!
  23. Let me save you the time and trouble. http://www.toyotaimportsforum.co.uk/forum/...light=insurance
  24. MSI import spoilers on your behalf from Erebuni in Los Angeles. very good prices http://www.msionline.co.uk/index2.htm ships by sea, takes 6-8 weeks again.
