I agree Mike.
Its the tyre smoking and pictures changing with almost strobe like speed that hacks me off. I love the daft road trips except when they do stuff like the skid mark p***s in the last episode.
Still going to watch though. Its a shame that wheeler dealers has got less spannering going on nowadays.

I love Top Gear, James May makes me chuckle.
I would like them to make the program 1 & 1/2 hours long and add in a bit more of the old style reviews in too.

Mk3 with 189500 going up rapidly !!

Backroom boys...lol that reminds me of those "Round the horne" sketches :-)

I'm Pete.
My old LS earns its keep as a taxi and the customers always smile as they are wafted home in comfort.
She's on lpg, so not quite as mad an idea as you might think.

Greetings from dear old Blighty. I don't know the answer unfortunately but I'm sure someone with the info will be along shortly.
In exchange for the answers you require, we would be grateful if you could send us some of that nice warm weather please.
Cheers

As far as I understand, lifting the bonnet once a week stops the strut seals drying out so quickly. Makes sense to me , and lets face it, what a nice view when open. :-)
-
Have a look at strutsdirect.co.UK you might be pleasantly surprised how cheap they are. Took me 20 mins to change them, most of that time was getting tools out and putting then away!
-
Haha. Going to use the Tescos cafe one if you don't mind....
-
That was Marks, not mine. I'm useless doing the quote thing when using this phone.
-
My mate just got 200 kilos of them tesco burgers, cost him a pony
Like it :-)

Puts my Timex to shame! No wonder Mickey looks sad!

I was also told never to use washing up liquid for the same reason.
I use the concentrated stuff from lidls, no freeze ups and no squeeks. I can recommend it.

Hi Pete, its a snap on "portable power 1700".
Thanks Kent, I will have a shufti at that.
-
That sounds interesting, I'll watch with interest.
-
Mines a small snap on one. Nice size a not that heavy it holds its charge for a very long time and has a handy test button on the front so can check it every now and then. Not the cheapest but i guess as most things you get what you pay for. Ben
Do you have the model number of the snap on booster by any chance please Kent.
Cheers
Pete

That's a bugger Mike, hopefully something daft and easy to fix. Fingers crossed for easy solution.

Mikeyv are you using your LS as a taxi?
-
I am around Winsford most weekday mornings, so you might see me about when you start your next pallet project.
Can't exactly miss me, my Lexie is a taxi.
-
I'm sure there is a speed limit for the snow socks so might be wise to have a look at the destructions before fitting.
With regards to driving in the snow, my mk3 has none of these new fangled snow buttons but if you take it easy you will fine.
Just watch out for the other idiots as previously mentioned.
On a side note, its nice to have another North West member.

Ipwn.
Where is this magical mechanic based? I suspect he way well be getting busy :-)
-
Haha . I was of course being a little tongue in cheek. I love the sticker idea......."The tank is empty, have you got 100 quid to fill it?"
Best deterrent ever Lmao. Genius.

Lets hope there are no Lexus thieves reading this :-\

Welcome to the LOC. Its unlikely you will want to drive any other make now, so put your feet up and get comfy.

Thats a very interesting read Steve. Am I righ in thinking that our climate over here is a bi more friendly to these capacitors or is it likely our need doing to?
Heres the big question, does the club know anyone who can do this over here?
Cheers
Pete
