  1. The headlight bulbs are pretty easy to replace and there is no need to remove the headlights.

The passenger side on can be accessed by simply removing the triangle shaped plastic cover.

The drivers side is a little more involved requiring a 10mm socket or spanner to remove the air ducting that goes to the air filter box. The front side of the air filter box also needs removing.

Its fiddly but if I can do it with my ham fists then most should be able to. Just don't pull the wires obviously.

I did this job in the dark, with swmbo holding a torch in less than 10 mins.

I would do a picture guide but its snowing so don't hold your breath folks.

  2. Haha ..... So many people didn't get that when I sent it as a text the other day. I'm beginning to wonder how many of my friends actually watch the news!

Still, as long as I don't receive a death threat via a tescos burger on the pillow next to me in the morning.......... (horse burgers available at other leading supermarkets)

I might just avoid burgers altogether as I don't want the trots !

    I'm here all week folks!!!!

  3. I was told Lexus stood for Large Executives US. In fact I'm sure I've seen it in print some where and heard it on tv as well. Its probably a tale that has gained credentials over the years. Mind you I don't really care how they came up with the name.

I would like to imagine that some Japanese engineer suddenly had a eureka moment whilst working on/designing the retractable steering column and jumped up and announced he had thought of a brand name!

  4. I hope I'm not breaking any rules here as I'm just sounding people out. I will pull my finger out and get gold membership shortly, I promise Steve.

A friend and I are moving into the alloy wheel refurb business as we already sand blast large metal work and so it seems logical with our passion for cars to diversify.

We have already blasted and powder coated wheels for some rally guys amoungst others in order to make sure we are competent and they seem happy so all good on that front.

I don't wish to appear to be advertising as we are still building a bigger powder coat oven and obviously we can't take orders as yet. I just wanted to know in the name of research, how many of you were considering refurbing your alloys and if so would you prefer powder coating or paint? Also what sort of price range you considered fair. I would obviously give a decent discount to members provided we can make the numbers and logistics work.

I look forward to your thoughts guys and appologise if this looks like an advert as it isn't meant to be.

    Cheers

    Pete
