  1. I've spent some time in the Lexus Ipswich showroom and it is a bit chilly in there, typical showroom though. Not a problem for me as it's only a 10 minute walk back to my house from the showroom or do what I do and pop into the swallow and have a bite to eat They do need some customer service training too, I went in there and enquired about parts and to say at least he was blunt and off with me
  2. I had a IS200 a few years ago at 19 and had a LS400 at 21 if I remember right, might off been 22 but didn't have problems insuring it at all
  3. I live 1 mile away from Lexus Ipswich and keeping a eye out on there stock, will keep randomly stopping past till they have one there
  4. I am with elephant who are apart off the admiral group. They specialise in younger drivers and never had a problem with me owning big engine cars like my Lexus's and had a Range Rover 4.6v8 when I was 22 There is a couple off 460's in stock at Lexus Ipswich. Going to see of they will let me test drive them with my age
  5. The '400 is £528 a year and looking around £900 a year for a '460 So not the end off the world
  6. Right the little history, when I was 19 I got a IS200 and loved that. Moved away from Lexus for a bit then at 23 got a LS400. Had that 6 months and thinking off upgrading to 460, insurance is okay even with been 23 So what do I need to know etc.
  7. So a car I have been helping sort out over the winter, went for its MOT today and passed This had been dry stored for over 10 years and is in pretty amazing condition Few pictures A few off my LS400 from the other weekend when we was working on both cars
  8. I know you off 106oc The Is200's run well into 200+ miles with out many problems What you after from a car
  9. After a set off wheels and tyres for a ls400 I know that IS200 wheels fit, so that is my preference. All I care is that the wheels are straight and the tyres are good, I can refurb alloys myself so the condition on that front doesn't matter. Post away
  10. 23. Got my IS200 at 20 amd got my LS400 when I was 22, now looking at maybe a LS460 or GS300
  11. Very sad news. I am from Ipswich myself and can say that is a lovely crematorium R.I.P fella
  12. Speak to your current insurers, if they have a online system to do a quote do that, then ring up with that quote. I that and saved £300 bearing in mind I am 23 and drive a LS400
  13. Well yeah it's a strange law. I only found out yesterday and been driving these vans for 3 years now
  14. This is a interesting article which could mean you get done for driving at 70mph http://www.businesscar.co.uk/story.asp?sectioncode=1&storycode=9691&c=2&theme=0
  15. Fifth gear is a much better programme in my eyes, TG is scripted way to much now but as a brand they make alot off money. Did I read somewhere to the JX or his company own the rights to TG to
  16. Showing up as a Toyota on the reg checker, so guessing its a import pretending to be a Lexus
  17. As above in working condition Posted to IP3
  18. Yeah have already been on there and had a look, I prefer a brand new part then should be hassle free tbh. My best mate works in the trade so seeing what the trade price is from Lexus if it's around £200-£250 i will buy from Lexus as i live 1 mile from there and will be less hassle then importing and have never imported anything before. So if anyone has imported anything could they let me know or even got a new pump from Lexus or anywhere in the uk would be helpful
  19. I might have to import this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-LS400-POWER-STEERING-PUMP-RESERVOIR-90-97-NEW-/300368725112?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item45ef5f0478#sp_cr
  20. Well leant my car to my mum over the weekend. Now just popped to the garage and the power steering pump has gone. Basicly it will only work when you have revs if not goes soild and feels like its biting when your driving along. I am waiting back on a price from one from Lexus, If not i will have to buy on off ebay and import it. Is this a common problem and a hard job to do
  21. Guessing some off you lot might like this. Just have a look http://bbs.rsownersclub.co.uk/showthread.php?t=201436
