  1. i have error 1 with cd player, looked at replacing with uprated cd player but opted to buy a £15 tape player/ipod convertor from argos, plug into tape deck connect to ipod/blackberry/audio device and press play on audio device, works a treat and saves spending on new surround etc.

I have the Grom Audio iPod cable - it's brilliant! About £70, plugs straight into the back of the head unit and the connector is routed behind the dash through to the iPod in its cradle to the right of the drivers wheel, so it's all hidden. Sounds fantastic and charges at the same time - can't recommend it enough Grom link

Oh, and the head unit can also control the iPod e.g. next/previous track etc.

  2. When I had mine done last year, I was considering doing it myself (but didn't coz didn't have the time/patience etc.). I Googled the kits to find the price (about £150) and all of them had the pulleys IIRC. Ebays' the place to look - loads of kits on there for reference.

  3. Cheers all for the replies. I'll see what price Lexus charge for 5L of fully synthetic, and then look at Opie Oils. I've got to go in to lexus Woodford next week anyway to pick up new wheels. I think £65 each for them is excellent value (but then, it is their fault they chose a wheel that bl@@dy well corrodes with the slighest chip).

  4. hi ive recently changed both front lower ball joints and track rods but there's still a slight knock coming from drivers side, any ideas of what it could be?? thanks luke

hi i have had this on my car for ages and mine is the caliper carrier slider pin hole worn, try driving down a road you know it will knock on, and lightly use a bit of left foot braking if noise goes away then its the carrier hope this helps

I've had my IS200 for 5 years and still have an o/s/f knock/clonk. Lexus changed the front legs twice under warantee and it would go away for a few days then come back. I wouls like to cure it though. Can you post a pic/email me one that shows exactly the part of the caliper to inspect?
