I don't think the battery will make much difference tbh and from what I've read, very unlikely to fail. Finding the sweet spot between accelerating and coasting on the pedal (where it keeps the speed constant) took me a while to find. Have you air suspension? Which brand shocks are installed?

I bought mine in Jan, 4800miles since, Avg 31.44mpg ... I found it took about 4 weeks for me to adjust to how to drive these for best mpg, ECO mode on/off doesn't seem to matter. On the majority of my longer distance journeys I pull either a boat or a tall covered trailer so factor that in. 60mph+ really hits mpg, scooting around town it'll easily go to 34mpg average. My best over a tank was 35mpg.

Does anyone happen to know the part number for the rear shocks (air suspension)? Mine seems to hit bumpstops/bounce a little more than it should. Thanks

29mpg, 270+ miles with a canopy trailer, not bad. In other news, I replaced my NSF shock (air suspension) yesterday lunchtime, back to it's magic carpet ride 🙂 Next issue to sort out is the cruise control, I'm suspecting the front badge isn't the original...

My most recent tank (not premium) was 412 miles (53lt), just over 35mpg. Happy enough with that, it was 80% backroads too. I have an 11hr round trip coming up but pulling a canopy trailer, I suspect I'll be in the 20's 🙂

How was the compressor disabled do you know? Did it affect other systems? I've read speculation on this but nothing concrete. I have a knocking from the front left but I'm not convinced enough to pull the trigger on a new shock/airbag unit yet. I'd first like to swop the top mounts side to side, anyone know if they sided?

FYI, I've been in touch with the Bulgarians, quoted 450e to refurbish the existing unit + shipping (90e or so each way for my location)

Just to add, I see mention of people replacing their cruise control stalks, what are the symptoms of a failing stalk?

Hi, The cruise control in my 2010 RX450h doesn't work at the moment. If I press the end of the stalk after starting (and not moved), I get the option to select the distance from car in front/speed but, if I move off it immediately errors. It also errors if I press the stalk while moving. I suspect my front bumper has been changed in the past, I'm wondering if there is a radar cruise control front emblem vs a non radar cruise emblem? Is that a thing? There are no codes stored according to the Delphi OBD reader. Thanks

Re 1) I guess I'm curious enough to try a tank 🙂 I see the "Best" in the "Past record" screen is 36.7mpg, I've been through a couple of tanks of very mixed driving, 31mpg currently. I'd expect that to climb when temperatures improve tho.

I've had my passenger side top hat out and it looks like its been repaired with a new bearing so I'd like to "test" to see if its the cause of a knocking noise I have.

Hi, I've recently bought a 2010 RX450h, I'm hoping someone could help with a few questions I have... 1) Is Premium petrol worth it with this engine? If so, how? 2) What is the better diagnostics reader to have? I have tried both the cheap and cheerful elm327 + torque app and my Delphi readers, just basic and real-time data available but no system testing with these. 3) This is sort of related to 2) as I want to diagnose the issue. My Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is not functioning, if I am stopped and press the button to start, I can select distance etc but as soon as I release the brake I get the warning triangle and the "not available" message. Is this common? Is there a fix? 4) I'm curious, what is the "T handle on a string" beside the rear seat side bolster for? It has "refer to manual" written on it but I'm not finding any reference 🙂 Thanks!
