    on the "Lexus- tech.eu" website it clearly states that there are 3 year free map updates for the 17CY Multi media system as is fitted to my NX300h Takumi Model.Don't know if this helps at all but there might be a cost implication dependent on the system fitted to your vehicle.

    Having mine installed by Lexus on Wednesday next week so as yet don't know what to expect. Would be interested to learn from you after installation if it is Software and Map updates. Has the new update got a reference - I believe the previous update in April 2019 was 2019v1

    I understand the latest NX300 Sat Nav update was released on Monday last by Lexus.

    Thanks Tel - I'll look into that. Route trace is now called Route Save and it is on the Map sub menu ,which you can turn on and off, if I remember correctly - Problem I have is deleting the route trace or save. Going into Lexus this pm to try and bottom it.

    On the software update screen I'm seeing a great deal of information but nothing simple like 2019v1 - however there is reference to A36_4. Going in to Lexus Derby tomorrow and they will hook up to the computer to determine how updated the system really is - or so I'm told.

    I don't see how you can activate it.Consensus at the moment is that it comes on automatically as you enter major cities - find it hard to believe and the manual makes no reference to this area.

    the photograph you put up is exactly the same as on my system - going into Lexus tomorrow so will try and make some sense of the detail

    do you mean 3D Buildings and landmarks or are you referring to the general Map presentation?

    Thanks very much for getting back to me.Looks like you have been with Lexus for some time. I will take another look this afternoon. Do you have any comment on my relating to Route trace and 3D landmarks and buildings?

    Been playing around in the car trying to acquaint myself with the new vehicle. Much better now I have received proper manuals from Lexus in lieu of having to keep going on line and then back to the car. Does anyone know how the Route Trace works - much simpler on my previous. NX300 Luxury.Very useful in major towns and cities. Lexus tell me 3D landmarks and Buildings is only available in Major Cities - no mention of this in the comprehensive manual.

    Lexus derby seem to be playing it low key in my response to Sat Nav updates being FOC updates but see what they say - hoping to hear this afternoon. I doubt if they have changed their policy!

    I am awaiting a response from Lexus Derby as to what version is fitted to my vehicle - suspect it may be 2019v1 but no doubt will find out. Another member told me latest version is issued November time so about due.

    I have just acquired a Lexus NX300h Takumi model.( October 1st) I am trying to determine if it has the very latest sat nav system - any ideas how to check this out? Also i have noticed on the Forum that there are quite a few references to new models of the NX coming with a 3year free update of the sat Nav system. - I must check this with Lexus derby. Also does anyone have experience in using3D Buildings and landmarks - I have ticked the box in the set up. Thanks
