  1. There's another post (of mine) further down the page. Replies there suggest similar with fuel petrol fuel gauge. Re flash lube, I have yet too install LPG on ours but my supplier suggests FL is essential on Lexus engines due to soft valve seats. I'd get it installed personally.
  2. Hi, thanks, although this is concerning. What problems have you had? (or heard of?) I should add I've converted my omega to autogas with help from the guys on omegaowners.com and using stag LPG systems, although I'm aware prinz are alleged to be the must nuts in LPG, but refuse sell their kits to DIYers. Only issues I've had is grumpy cold starts in freezing conditions, but that's down to me being tight with early switch over times. Omega is a 3.2 v6 lump with 4speed auto, very similar power figures to the ls300. The valve seats on the omega are hard enough to take LPG, but I'm told the Toyota lumps need flash lube as the seats are, apparently, slightly softer...? No need for iridium plugs either, one of the guys tried them, made no odds at all. Anyone know of the inlet is plastic for mounting injector nozzles? Must admit I haven't looked under the bonet thoroughly yet, we haven't had the Is a week yet. My main concern is how fussy the engine management is on the Lexi's. BMW are known to be somewhat pedantic on gas, for example.
  3. Anyone converted one of these to dual fuel? Nice deep wheel well. Can the valve seats take it?
  4. What is the correct grade oil for the this engine? I'm presuming either 10w40 semi or 5w30 depending? This If so, are Lexus owners aware of the existence of Vauxhalls trade club? They offer good savings on most(but not all) service items for Vauxhall owners, but specifically very good oils at cheap prices. Eg. 20litres of Dexos2 fully synth for £50 odd quid 4x5 litre bottles of semi synth for £35 odd both plus vat As an omega owner forum member its been proven castrol doesn't handle moisture and condensation from short journeys well, causing blocked crank case breathers. The GM oils don't, and are substantially cheaper ESP via trade club. Does anything similar exist for Lexus owners? Anyway, might be helpfully to some here...? (on re reading this might look a bit spammy, genuine post)
  5. Just picked up her is300 sport cross. Previously owned by a member here I believe. Certainly seems tidy and well loved. Drives well IMO. Much tighter chassis them my comparively wobbly omega. :)
