  1. Hi Hondaman, thanks for the reply but I've already got the sub and will be running it off a different amp which are both from my previous car.
  2. Alright guys, after quite some time finding all the bits just about within my budget (well a few quid over actually but I certainly can't spend any more) this is what I've come up with: The bypass loom, facia and ipod lead are sorted and I've already got a sub and amp The head unit will be the pioneer AVH-4400BT without doubt as it's perfect for what I want it to do. My concerns are for the front and rear speakers set up: 6.5" Speakers for the front: £19.99 http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-pioneer-ts-g1711i_p-26506.htm 18mm Spacers - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PAIR-6-5-18MM-ROUND-OVAL-MDF-MOUNTING-STEREO-SPEAKER-SPACER-ADAPTOR-RING-/180792812957?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item2a1817659d 6x9s for the back £38.27 http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-pioneer-ts-a6913is_p-26753.htm 18mm Spacers - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6x9-6-x-9-6-x9-18MM-ROUND-OVAL-MDF-MOUNTING-STEREO-SPEAKER-SPACER-ADAPTOR-RING-/150733880490?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item2318707caa 4 channel amp £67.99 http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/reviews_m-kenwood-kac-6405_p-27135.htm Concerns are these: Will this amp make a worthwhile sound quality difference? Or is it not worth it considering the head unit I could run the speakers from? Are 18mm spacers too much or just right on either set? Thank you in advance for anyone who can give me solid advice on what I've got planned!
  3. I've been driving my 1.8 celica for the last 5 years with a powerflow full system from the manifold, and I love it. I don't want a powerflow for my new (to me) is200, am looking at HKS Legamax system: http://www.funkypower.co.uk/catalogue.php?make=TOYOTA%20-%20LEXUS&model=IS200-IS300-ALTEZZA&year=&level1=EXHAUSTS+%26+EXHAUST+MANIFOLDS&level2=EXHAUST+SYSTEMS&level3=&id_product=5918 I can't find any youtube clips of the sound, but I'm expecting it to be not as loud as the blitz but not as quiet as the HKS silent system. I'm looking for what another poster on here wrote "deep and burbly" or something along those lines. Does anyone have any experience of this system and can tell me the difference between this and the HKS silent power?
  4. Hi Ben, thanks for replying and you know what I wouldn't mind taking you up on the offer one weekend in April if your serious and I'd gladly pay for the service, my other half is Irish and she's never been to Nottingham so sure she'd be up for the road trip My concern is doing it and then having the lights mist up after it rains!
  5. I'm planning to get the same kit, but am not up for installing them myself, I know a lot of guys on here have the capability in modding things like this but I'm not so competent. I'm based in the northwest and am looking for someone local who could fit them for me professionally, can anyone point me in the right direction?
  6. Hi everyone, I've just bought my 200, will pick it up on Sunday. Got quite a list of mods I'll be working on throughout April but out of all I have planned, the mesh grill is the part I'm finding most difficult to source at what I feel is a fair price. I'm not up for spending £180 upwards on one that I'll have to get resprayed, after about 2 weeks of looking I still can't find anything I can buy straight away. I know there is one on ebay with 4 days of bidding, unless I can buy it now on there I don't go in for it. Do Lexus/Toyota dealers still sell them for less than a ton does anyone know?

Thanks Steve, bin reading quite a lot on here over the last few weeks, seems like the best place on the net for the advice I need in playing with my new car and my shopping list is largely based on what I've picked up from the user base :)
