Thanks - mine worked fine the day after as well - no idea what the cause was

Went to use my GS450h after leaving in the garage for 2 weeks and it flashed up key not recognised , it started fine when holding the fob against the start button so assumed was the battery in the fob, I always have spare batteries so changed but this still the same and the same with the spare key so pretty sure not the key fobs or battery Called Lexus and they advise is most likely the car 12V battery is drained from two weeks idle and therefore not sending out signal to key - they advise a run will; charge it up and all will be fine My concern is central locking does not work from the fob -assume as fob not recognised ? and do not want to be miles from home with an issue - guess have no option but was wondering if anyone else had experienced the same ?

My GS450h has an annoying rattle but not from any of these areas- mine comes from transmission tunnel trim on the passenger side - it is driving me crazy for a while a piece of felt wedged between the trim panel and the stereo unit stopped it but now back Does anyone know how easy it is to remove this panel to see what is squeaking and apply some silicone? Thanks

Does anyone know when the cambelt on a GS450h requries replacement and what Lexus charges - or is it a chain?

Thank you all for your replies - Good to know that my car is functioning correctly and for the performance on offer can live with the 30mpg. Suspect that will fall drastically now as intend to stop watching the graphic display of the power distribution and enjoy the performance. I don't know why but the car just seems so much better put together and enjoyable than my previous Phaeton or Audi A8 - shame when time comes to sell the depreciation will i assume be savage.

Hi Just bought a 57 reg 450h from lexus main dealer 50K miles and would appreciate some clarification from other owners. Firstly I am getting around 30Mpg which is on a commute of 4 miles non motorway and 10 miles motorway. I am driving it very carefully so this is the best possible - is that normal? - I suppose it will do better on longer runs? Second point is that i hardly ever see the display showing just electric drive - again is that normal And the final question is that the hybrid battery indicator has never shown as fully charged on either the large display or the speedo mounted display - it gets up to maybe 90% but never quite full. Only had the car a week and used very little so it maybe that it needs a longer trip than the 14 miles but would appreciate others findings Many thanks Simon
