  1. My TV tuner is in the boot right hand side, tucked away into the wing, it is therefore on its side. behind the boot covering, when you first look it is hard to imagine anything would be there. Right on the wheel arch. Hope this helps. Mikel
  2. Some time ago I read here there was a timer which gave the turbo time to cool after switching off the engine. Please can anybody help with any information ?. Mikel
  3. I'VE JUST HAD MAJOR SERVICE,NEW CAM BELT. FRONT BALL JOINTS AND FOUR WHEEL ALINEMENT CARRIED OUT. I WAS ADVISED BY THE MECHANIC MY CAR IS IN PRETTY GOOD NICK BUT I STILL HAVE THIS FRONT WHEEL NOISE. THE MECHANIC (SORRY ENGINEER) SAYS IT IS DUE TO FEATHERING OF THE TYRE AND WHEN REPLACED IT WILL GO..... HE SUGGESTED WHEN REPLACING THE TYRES NOT TO GO FOR THE STUNNER SCUDO'S WHICH HAVE JUST BEEN PUT ON THE BACK, TO GO FOR BRIDGESTONES OR MICHELINS. I SAID I ONLY PAID £170 FITTED AND BALANCED FOR THE REAR TYRES AS APPOSED TO £145 EACH TO WHICH HE REPLIED "YOU ARE DRIVING A LEXUS". i SUPPOSE THERE IS NO ANSWER TO THAT.
  4. I've just fitted Stunner scudos on the back of my Aristo, in place of the Mich's which were a little low on tread. The main reason was cost and the ref's given by the dealer who races sports saloons. Cost £82. per wheel balanced and fitted. I've done 1K since fitting and obviously with max tread seem quiet keep you posted. Must admit I enjoyed I loved the feel of the thin Michelins. Mikel
  5. Whilst my wife is Nile Cruising I'm going to Chester races to throw some cash at the poor bookies. If any of you wealthy Lex owners have any inside info on G G's nos supported or otherwise I will happily share my winnings. Mikel
  6. Can't be sure but read somewhere you are entitled to undo/remove your seatbelt whilst reversing ?
  7. The apes appear are well behaved at Woburn...... I'll take mine to Knowsley and compair results !.
  8. I hate to admit it, particularly when its cold, I love looking in the rear mirror, it's like the votex from a Concorde taking off. I also will check this valve if I can locate it. What I find amazing is how did you discover where the fault was in the first place ?.
  9. Lots of comments on whether its the cars or the tyres, I' ve witnessed some pretty bad driving ! just maybe the drivers have something to do with it. No can't be.
  10. I have lost the black rubber surround from the front sensor, unfortunately Lexus units are different from the Aristo and the whole unit has to be bought. Any ideas would be appreciated. Mikel
  11. Suggest you try AVerMedia Technologies of Milton Keynes on 01908 2188100 I bought a AVerJoy TV controller from them £76.00 it is fitted above the sat nav unit inside the boot and behind the boot spring so it does not show. It will also convert you pc screen into a telly if you so desire. I'm sure you will be happy with you car.Mikel
  12. I have reduced tyre pressures, I drove about 300 miles yesterday part motorway part Peak, I still have a weird noise front offside different road surfaces effect it though. Steering perfect. It is not a constant sound it increases and decreases every few revolutions.
  13. Hi Colin, Happy New Year, when I spin the wheel there is a very faint whisper as though the pad is brushing the disc so faint you can hardly hear it, pads were renewed 1500 miles ago. the wheel spins very freely. Any thoughts ? (I will collect the vsc very shortly and square up any consultation or storage fees !) Many thanks Mikel I
  14. I have a wheel noise coming from front off side, its more obvious on some road surfaces, tyre pressures 38psi good treads. I've jacked up the car and there is no movement wheel on hub, ie pulling and pushing top & bottom of the wheel. Any suggestions please. Mikel
