  1. As you say I probably only need to drop the back a few inches to access the connections. I too assumed removing the C pillars would let it drop down enough. Do they just clip off do you know? I would hate to damage them :-(
  2. There is definitely a problem with mine. As I said, today the interference was so bad I had to switch the radio off, really loud 'fuzz' noise that came on and off so bad that I couldn't hear the radio program at all
  3. Hi all, I have an 07 is 250 with the ML stereo, and the radio reception isn't brilliant. I have tried keeping the rear screen spotlessly clean, which I thought had resolved the problem, but today, with a perfectly clean screen, the reception was terrible, so bad I had to switch the radio off. I mentioned this problem on another thread, and someone suggested I check the connections in the roof lining at the screen, which makes sense. Can anyone give me any tips on how to get to the connection, without damaging the roof lining? Or does anyone have any other ideas where the problem maybe? Thanks, Spider Mike
  4. Thanks Colin, Any advice on how to remove the roof lining to get at the connection please?
  5. Another thing I have noticed is that the radio reception isn't brilliant. Is the aerial in the rear screen, and is there anything I can do to improve reception?
  6. Thanks for that Colin. That's a relief! Love the car.....quite a step up from my Toyota Corolla
  7. Hi, I have recently acquired an is 250 auto on an 07 plate which I am very pleased with, but I don't know if I have a problem with the gearbox in sport mode. When I bring the gear lever across to sport mode, the dash shows 'S', and it defaults to 4th gear which is shown on the dash. Then when I either use the flappy paddles, or gear lever to go up a gear, it immediately changes to 5th on the dash, but the car doesn't change gear until the revs build up, just as if it is still in auto. I thought it should change gear immediately just as a manual would? Thanks in advance, Spider
  8. I'm looking to buy an is 250 and wanted one with the touch screen sat nav, but am a bit put off by the number of people who are getting (expensive to resolve) problems with them. Or are there lots of happy owners out there and we only hear from the few problems?
  9. Has no one had this problem in the UK? Looking at the thread on the club Lexus website, it seems a big problem over there with many Is250's affected. Is it just down to low octane fuel? Maybe it will affect us as the engines get more miles on them?
  10. Hello! I am thinking about buying a used is250. What are the things to look out for? Any advice welcome, Cheers, Spider Mike
