Well I tried what was done to fix your rattle and it works, no more rattle and the car is now a pleasure to drive again. I just put some felt from the local DIY store around the edge of where the speaker grill sits and it has solved my problem. Thanks very much for your help

Well I thought this was going to be an easy fix!!!! I have taken the centre speaker grill out and still get the rattle, removed the centre speaker and pulled the harness tight and still get the rattle, strange thing is when everything is back together and I drive the car and I get the rattle by applying the slightest of pressure to the speaker grill the rattle stops? It also seems temperature related. I tried to pull the dash towards me and that seems fine. Contacted Lexus Birmingham and they want £65 just to assess the problem.

I purchased one of these kits for my is250 from Michael and it works a treat. Did not take very long to arrive and only took me about an hour from start to finish to fit, so I'm very happy with it.

I have a 56 plate IS250 with 17" alloys, but would like to upgrade to 19" or 20" as I feel it would look better. I have seen these: http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/19_Inch_BBS_CS-5_BP_Alloy_Wheels__1484 Would these be ok with 235/35/19 all round?

Sorry to hijack the thread but did not know my car could do this so just went out to check it. Only the passenger mirror tilts and the driver's side stays in the same position. So I tried to tilt the mirror up, down, left and right using the control on the door and up and down does not do anything but moving left and right is fine. Tried moving the mirror by hand to see if it would free something up but the control still does not move it. Can hear the relay contacting though so power is good. Take it this is a warranty issue and not a home easy fix?

Took your advice and called Lexus Poole and Emma was very helpful and answered all my questions. Looked at my service history and the car has been serviced at Lexus Poole in the past so they have all the details for the car but now I will have to take it to Lexus Birmingham or Coventry now as I live in Worcestershire.

Is it possible to check if and recalls apply to my Lexus which I have recently purchased. I have seen on the Internet various recalls for IS250 (mine is a 56 plate) and wonder if there is a way to check if these recalls apply to my car. Will the dealer me straight with the information if I where to call them and ask?

Hello All I have just purchased my first Lexus and have gone for a IS250 SE-L on a 56 plate 47K with black leather and the ML System and FLSH. The car has everything fitted and I keep finding buttons that I never knew I had as I have only had the car a few days. Wanted a different colour to what I normally see around, not sure if everyone else will like the colour? Happy with the car but seem to have a rattle from the centre speaker on the dash but should be an easy fix. Picture is not my actual car but same colour. Richard

Hi All, I new to the fourmn but I'm looking to purchase and Lexus IS250. I have a car in mind as it is advertised as a "Lexus IS 250 2.5 ( ACC/PCS ) Auto SE-L" and appears to have everything fitted, but I'm confused with regards if it is has the Mark Levison system fitted. I'm yet to view the car and the and after speaking to the dealer on the phone he does not know what a Mark Levison system is or if this car has one. I have attached a picture of the console fitted to the car and if the picture looked at I'm sure that Mark Levison is written on the bottom right of the centre console. Can anyone help with thought of if the Mark Levison is fitted to this car and if not what is the standard stereo spec like. Thanks Richard.
