have you used the car to see if its dumping or is the car standing still and you just puting your foot down and seeing if it dumps ?

Hi Mr.... i have just painted my car black.........and i have just started wetsanding it back with 2000 grit, but im still geting faint sanding lines once i have Compounded it..........do i just need to go over it one more time ;)

Hi guys, i picked up my 1991 J Reg: LS400 on (sunday), thats got the 1UZ-FE 4L-V8 that i will be useing for my swap :D ......i got the car of E-bay....the guy that i got it of said he got it about a year ago, but did not have time to do it up. and all this time its been siting at his workshop....all its done in the past year is its been in & out of his workshop each day,

He put it on E-bay as not running...... as when he got to his workshop one day the car would not start, it would turn over but would not start......i ended up geting it for.....360.00 :D

when i got there to pick it up i went over it and could not see anything wrong with the car, the frist thing i had alook at was the plugs....well what can i say, pulled the frist plug and it was covered in fuel ;) so i then pulled the rest of the plugs and they was all the same.......i then pulled the air hose off the Throttle body and there was lots of fuel in there as well....... so i dryed all the plugs and the air intake hose and waited about 20mins before i put the plugs back in,

got in the car and it started frist time :D

After 2 small fires in the engine bay due to cables being too close to the new down pipe and alot of unforseen heating issues from the work I had carried out by the other garage just before Christmas. The cables were moved and properly insulated by TDI before the mapping was carried out.

Figures were posted above which made it all worth while and everything was hunky dory...

Untill..

The car broke down whilst on the road test yesterday. Coolant everywhere and 5 broken spark plugs.. The head is being taken off to see what's happened..

I think that engine has been apart more times than a ho's legs.

man thats not good , 5 broken plugs.............hope its not to bad mate.......who's doing the work now!

How's the gearbox takeing that power, is it all ok.........@TDI how much more power do you think the IS box can take? what did it fill like when you was mapping it?

I've just bought a TTE Sports Aero bumper for the I200 off ebay. I got it for £40. BARGAIN!! But it does not have any mesh grilles on it. Does anyone know where I can get them from??? The seller said that u can fit the OEM grilles but that wouldnt look right would it???

Ok guys well looks like im going to have a go at fitting the turbo on my own.

Need to lift the engine to get the oil sump off so if any one down south has a engine lift that i could borrow that would be amazing, if not looks like i've gotta hire one from somewhere.

Not sure if im fitting the fuel return line as meant to be very hard to do.

Also a bit of welding to do but shud be able to get a local exhaust place to do that.

the lexus' ET is 50, these rims are 45, will these fit without a problem?

same her i Always thought the standard offset on the old IS was 45 mm

any way they will fit ok with ET of 45 :winky:

Hi there.

There is a CD in the player that is no longer visible. It was making a grinding noise when I put is in and trying to eject it never came out and in no longer visible.

Is this a common issue? Any clues on fault/fix? Another job for Lexus I fear.

my CD player did this and that was it,, did not work from then on ;)

its shocking that theyve only managed to squeeze 400hp out of a 5 litre V8.thats poor tuning isnt it?

yea that is poor tuning, when my V8 TT is done it will be puting out all most 500rwhp :winky: but then if you put 2 turbos on the new IS-F you would see about 600/700 BHP

Hey, they are 17". Is it a problem that the et is 45 and not 50?
