Nor me. Prefer landline number also. Could be dealer working from home! All you can do if interested is to phone and ask.

The screen display says they are in Wilford, which if correct suggests somewhere in Nottingham, which given the postcode you are quoting in the Autotrader ad (which suggests they are 79 miles away) sounds about right.

What do we think of this one it a lot more expensive, he could probably get a warranty with it amongst other stuff and a a bit of haggling with the dealer.

It is a high price. £16k is what I paid for my GS450h, also on an 11 plate but lower miles, 3 years ago.

And I got three years warranty thrown in. They may struggle to sell that one.

I fully agree diesels aren't brilliant vs a nice 6-cyl petrol hybrid, but the diesel does come with a proper gearbox...

I suppose the point I'm making is I bought my 07 GS450H after looking at similarly priced 530d and E350Ds, the Lexus was far better value for money.  Cheaper, less miles, newer.  Now if I do the comparison I'm really struggling to justify the lexus!

It looks as though someone justified the Lexus; it is now marked as sold.

  4. i believe that it was part of the ACC system - where fitted -  and only operates when the radar is live.

The reason why they are pretty vague about it is that it is designed as a supplementary system, to start the braking system,  and they don't want people relying on it in the event of a collision. Whilst the system might be quicker to start braking thanthe driver, it is up to the driver to complete braking.

Firstly I would like to say that I don't no the person or have anything to do with the company selling this product

i don't, no do any of my friends or family make this product

I just thought I would let you all no of a cheep product that would help keep you pride and joy safer.

after reading on this form about potential theft of our loved Lexus cars, and how they can now use a detector from out side your house and scan for your keys anywhere in your house  I decided do give this product a go, and can say that it works perfectly, once the keys were in the pouch I stood next to the car and the boot and doors would not open, I took the keys out of the pouch, got in the car, put the keys back in the pouch and the car would not start, ( a message saying " Keys not detected ).

I brought 2 of this , one for my spare set of keys and one for my general use keys.

At less then £3 each I think it was a very good buy.

Nor do I have any association with these people, but the one I ordered arrived today and works perfectly. Only enough room for one set of keys (especially with all the gubbins that my wife has on her keyring), so I shall happily order another.

  6. These are two interesting threads, in particular the suggestion that sitting with a foot on the brake could warp the discs, presumably because part of the disc is not cooling at the same rate. Is there any evidence of this?

Personally I prefer to put it into Neutral once a car has pulled up behind me but my wife keeps telling me that that is going to damage the gearbox. is she right? Should we be putting it in Park?

What should we do in this situation?

  7. Sorry that I am late to this topic, but my previous Lexus also had only one key which was a little worrying given my wife's habit of putting down keys almost anywhere when coming into the house.

I am sure there was a discussion on here a few years back that recommended an independent person, in the Midlands I think, who was doing this somewhat cheaper, though it would of course mean taking the car there for programming. I did ring and confirm the details with him, but I changed the car before I got the key cut. My current car has three keys, including one that is safely in my drawer, for when my wife finally loses hers.
