had my lexus for a year now and wondered if its a normal thing for lexus that the gearbox whines in every gear its not loud just faint but you know its there is it normal ??? any advice greatfull ps its allways done it since i had the car. thanks guys.

mine has done 175 thou and still going strong its 04 reg but all motorway miles with only one owner from new lots of service history too

only thing i can think of is it may have had a remote on switch for an amplifier at some point in its life, but not 100 per cent on that -
i used to own a vw passat turbo its was a lovely car dont get me wrong but that said i find my lexus mutch smother and comfortable to drive, as for gismos you can always add to the car if you want, and if looked after will give many years of happy motoring .

thought icould rattle someones brains on here. i have a whistle type of noise almost like air comming from my engine its only started about two weeks ago any sugestions????

hi guys has anyone got a foot rest to sell, mine came of and nearly got stuck under brake pedal ( nearly messed myself ) lol, turns out it was held on with blue tac.. so previous owner forgot to metion that to me and as its got hot out, its come unstuck. anyway if anyone can help it will be appreciated

happy days, i have gone with the aftermarket option and aftermarket amp because of having to by-pass the lexus amp could not find an original replacement so hence.

100k is nothing.. i bought mine with 174k on it and because of the service history that came with it i was not concerned, i think with regular oil and filter changes i can see it going well over 200k and even with the milage on it now it still pulls strong especially in midrange ie 4th to 5th puts me back in the seat, so happy days

thanks ian its not bad, but has a few chips on it and a slight dent in the bonet but with that said it still waxes up nice and interior is mint black lether its all original and came with tons of service history and im the second owner from new. i am looking to put 19 inch alloys on it and thats all oh and repaint bonet and sort out the chips.

no just a name i used for many years from the days when i had a ford pinto with a chevy v8 in it it was blue and moody to handle lol
