    Feeling your pain... To generate more awareness I've shared/mentioned today this thread on the Lexus UK fb page: https://www.facebook.com/LexusUK/photos/a.167188123332400.56950.108330332551513/764115380306335/?type=1 Lexus UK have already responded that they are aware (which we already knew from this thread) but let's just hope that the more people who becomes aware of the issue, the more pressure it will generate on Lexus...

    Oh no, don't say that. I am (was) aiming for an IS 300h myself but this transmission/drivetrain issue has really put me off. :( I'm starting to think I need to get the 450h (GS) instead which, to the best of my knowledge, doesn't suffer from this, right...? It also means going from a fully-equipped IS to a minimally-equipped GS, but I suppose I can live with that if I must (on the plus-side, the 450h is quite powerful which I love - I soooo wish 450h was available for the IS also).

    Oh no. I certain hope this is something what will be rectified for you asap. If there is something I cannot live with, it is engine/drivetrain issues. Before looking into the 300h, I was hooked on the new BMW 328i, but try a search for "malfunction" on http://www.f30post.com/forums/ and a million posts pop up with owners who have problems causing limp mode and whatnot. John, please keep us posted on how things turn out.
