I do think it takes a few days, and learning about a new car to make a judgement. The magazines only offer an individual view. The IS stands out on the road surrounded by anonymous competitor's. I am getting 47 mpg with spirited M way driving. In other hybrids I had they improve on MPG over time. The sport mode on the gear box gives a flappy paddle shifter that YOU can control up or down shifting. There is a very noticeable increase in acceleration. It is a no compromise petrol hybrid. period. full stop.

Yes it could have been same finish as the sills which are a plastic trim I think. Looking at most hybrids, they appear to have an inboard exhaust.

Hi Nice blue finish the paint quality on these cars is great. Yes the drone is none existent, took my Lux out today for a run on dual carriage way, flawless absolutely flawless. The keyless entry is standard on the Lux and I thought for certain on the F Sport. Are there two dimples on the front door handles top and bottom? If yes you touch the top and bottom dimple to lock and then open the car by gripping the handle, there is a sensor strip on the inside. With the key in your pocket it should open. The key fobs still have traditional lock unlock buttons and boot release. The range of the key less entry is 0.78m or so the manual says, I reckon you have it. My dealer was reluctant to let me pick up today and spent some time on Friday afternoon going through everything including the key less entry. I have had since Friday evening yesterday and today to get to grips with the technology things like an I Pod and a phone being connected by Bluetooth caused a problem, seems there can only be one connection via BT at a time.

Hi, First post, cant seem to upload pictures so will try later. Ordered in June after fleet day, much impressed then with both the new IS versions. Also considered; Audi A3 sport back, A4 saloon & estate, BMW 520d, Jag XF, Mercedes CLA, C class. Also tried Prius + and two diesel hybrids. Really did not like the stop start on the diesel cars. I never take any note of the motoring press for me it is about the best car that suits the individual and in my case minimising the company car (highway robbery? ) tax. This car is perfect for me and Lexus should be able to attract many CC drivers if they get the marketing right. Lexus website comments from other posters - when I tried the configuration weeks ago you could select Nav but it did not update the total price. The info on the UK site was way behind the European page back in May, just when early adopters would be looking for info. Fish Brothers had published a dealers news letter on the net which I found very helpful. Tahara seats, decided not to go for leather but the Tahara seats look like half leather any way, will post a picture later if I remember. I went for Mesa Red as a complete change and it looked fantastic yesterday on arrival the gold flecks shimmering in the sun shine. Apparently the touch up paint is not in the country yet and it has a slightly different number from present version. Very impressed with the car but have to wait until tomorrow before it can go on the road :megaangry: . Never mind I can spend the next waking hours reading the extremely large manuals.
