  1. Thanks Scudney, Defo not Shadow Chrome, the GS I traded in for it had them and they were much lighter and a real bugger to touch up. These look like a more solid metalic colour.
  2. Picked up my Blue F Sport on Saturday and have just noticed a very small chip on the drivers side front alloy, must of missed it when I went to view/collect as I haven't curbed it jet. Can anyone adivise the best colour match paint for a touch up? I'm not looking for perfection just want to take the eye away. The wheels look to be sort of Anthracite to me.
  3. Novice here, how do you remove the rubber cover without damaging it?
  4. I had a similar problem on my 2014 GS300h, I took it into Lexus Guildford who got the locking wheel nuts off, and said they could order me a new key for about the same as they quoted you or could supply and fit a brand new set of OEM wheel nuts and key for £25. This was a no brainer, so I said go ahead - 4 new locking wheel nuts and key £25 bargain!!! I'd steer clear of ebay ones myself and stick with OEM, they are cheaper than you'd think Stu
  5. At my last service (40K) it was noted that the front disks and pads will probably need replacing before the next service. Lexus quoted me £325 for the privilege. On my last car (Honda Accord) I managed the job myself, after seeking advice on the Honda Karma forum. I wonder if someone could point me in the right direction for a how to... for my Lexus. Thanks in advance.
  6. well today's the day, my first Lexus and my first Hybrid, thanks for all the input guys, it's put my mind at rest over a few concerns I had
  7. Thanks again for the input, 45 mpg will be a marked improvement on my 2.0L Honda Accord which only gave 32 mpg combined driving. Last question for now, I'll try and save more questions until after I've picked it up Saturday, but I've been reading about "In motion Lock Out" for the sat nav and other functions on certain models, does anyone know if my GS is likely to be affected by this annoying feature? The Honda system allowed destination input on the move and I found it very useful and time saving. I've read a lot about this on US based forums, so maybe it just affects US spec models? If the car is affected by this, what the best defeat device to go for?
  8. Thanks for the input guys, I've done a bit of digging on the net and it does seem the hybrid batteries seem to have a pretty long life, over the 60,000 mile warranty at any rate. Next question, if you'll indulge me further, what sort of MPG can I expect to get - I'd say I do a 50/50 mix of motorway/town driving. Thanks again
  9. Hi there, First post on this forum so apologies if it's in the wrong place. Just bought a 2014 Lexus GS300h Luxury with Mark Levinson and Sunroof upgrades, I'm a high mileage user (approx 30K a year) and was wondering should I be concerned about the Hybrid battery life? I intend to keep the car for 3 years used daily and main dealer serviced. I bought the car on the strength that all the mini cabs round my way are Toyota Prius's and they seem to be running around fine. I would value any input. Thanks Stu
  10. Hi all, New to this forum as I am considering buying a used IS 250. My requirement is quite specific so some advice is sought. The car must feature the following: - Petrol auto with paddle shift. Sat Nav. Front and rear parking sensors. Decent audio - heard good things about the Mark Levenson system. Reverse camera. Full leather with electric adjust, preferably with memory. iPod connectivity and Bluetooth. Heated seats, cooled as well would be nice. Sunroof. Dual zone climate. Cruise control. Trip Computer. Is there a model in the 2010 to 2012 range that has this as standard?? My current car is a 2011 Honda Accord which has these features as standard and I have grown rather used to them. Your help would be appreciated. Stuart
