the yellow was a special edition as well
That wasn't called the "limited edition" though :P
yes it was, and it was actually limited to 50 or so cars
I might be wrong here so apologies if I am, but I'm sure the yellow one was called the IS200 Amarillo (based on the car being in Amarillo Yellow)
Only the grey one that came out in 2004 was called the IS200 (and IS300) limited edition.
Obviously they were both technically limited editions, but only one was given the actual name "limited edition" :)
the yellow model was a limited edition, having only 50 or so made, but not called it by model name,
the grey model although called a limited edition was not limited in numbers made, and was introduced to get rid of the model as the new models were due out
both sales gimmicks !

yep !
try the M25
you get the lorry lane
then the coach lane
then the "I am going to do 60mph and not change lanes" lane
then you get the "I am going to do the top speed of this car" lane
driving in Europe really shows what bad driving we have on our motorways ;)

Are the IS200's JDM or USDM? I know the Japanese prefer the Altezza's but was wondering if the IS's are still JDM or not.
the is200/300 were not available in Japan, only their equivalent toyota altezza, same goes for all Lexus models up to about 2005
after which they were branded as Lexus and available in Japan

the next round of the Toyota Sprint Series is at Woodbridge (nr Ipswich) on September 19th
Woodbridge is an airfield site with endless possibilities of track layouts, no one knows exactly what the layout will be, but it will be around 2 miles long !
the day consists of
2 sighting laps
2 practice laps
and 8 timed runs
and open pit lane, if time permits
Javelin trackdays will be running the event
in a safe and organised manner you have the chance to pit your car against 600hp 4wd monsters or 67hp mild and meek
your chance to compete against Jonny Milner (twice British rally champion)
anyone with a Toyota or Lexus can enter, as long as it has a current MOT and is roadworthy
and will be entered into the corresponding Toyota sprint class (A to F) to suit their car
and now, due to numbers being a bit low
anyone with any make of car can enter, as long as it has a current MOT and is roadworthy
there are a few exceptions (rollcages to convertibles)
this is now known as class X
so who fancy's a go ?
there will be on site catering, toilets
and a great friendly atmosphere, help with driving, mechanical problems, setting up, etc will be freely available
cost is £100
please post any questions here
or visit the Toyota Sprint forums
'Supporters' aka friends, relatives, pit crew are welcome to all events but due to security it is asked that they are registered. The price of supporter tickets is £4.00 This offer is only available if the supporter entry is paid by the driver at the same time as he/she pays the entry fee. (to cut down on admin)
Any supporter not attached to a championship driver will have to pay the full price of £6.00.

you might will find the rear and pockets are synthetic
common practice in furniture making is to make the parts not seen or sat on out of synthetic material

DOn't think so. They will stay locked even in the event of a crash
EEk, so if I end up with an L imprinted in my forehead, the Mrs and kids aint gonna be able to get out of the car without someone pressing the tiny button the other side of my slumped body :s
they may stay locked but they should be openable from the inside, although if the child locks are on the rears they wont
why dont you try it out ?
obviously miss the part about crashing out

Hi,
How many K and what color is the stock HID XENON lights? If I want to upgrade the bulb to a higher K one do I need to change/upgrade something else too? What type of bulbs do I need to look for? What K would you recommend?
Dont know much about this.
Thanks for your respond
the OEM lamps are optimum for light levels, any change in colour would be detrimental to that
be careful changing lamps to cheap eBay ones, they could destroy the ballast units and that will cost a lot to replace

yeah i understand stav but they must have been good when their old garage was open and running.
"the old garage" is that not the one that ceased trading recently !
you need to do more than presume its guaranteed, see who is exactly offering the guarantee
is it an established company with a good reputation and lots of liability insurance
is it an insurance backed guarantee

have a lovely day

So all the stuff about 228/240bhp is loblocks basically? As there's no way really an IS200 could get tuned to that without SC/TC, and he'd make a point of mentioning that?
Whats with the engine cover btw? Says Beams on it...or is that a Toyota phrase?
yep loblocks
ask the seller how many cylinders/sparkplugs it has !
the AS200 has 6
all AS200's came with the beams 2000 logo on the air filter, probably just to replace the lexus logo !
yamaha only tuned the 3sge, they redesigned the cylinder head, naming it beams (breakthrough engine with advanced management system)

i would guess at the TTE black box ecu
located in the main ECU box
get it swapped for an HKS fcd
notorious for going wrong, and fit in with the symptom's you have
thankyou for the advice, how much do they cost, and the best place to buy it please.
most tuners or eBay
shouldnt cost more than £100
-
its an AS200
as you state its the same as the is200 and has only 150 bhp
yamaha didnt tune the engines !
