  2. Hi Kam

No engine lights or any other warning lights other than the fuel light lol so im completly confused iv done the service as it was coming up to being due oils plugs etc but still no change .

I never managed to get my IS200LE down to 16mpg although it was a manual, so unless you drive very fast or aggressively (I live nearby and there isn't a lot of chance of that) or spend most of your time in crawling traffic; that isn't reasonable. I get about 23-24 from my 5 litre ISF!

Recheck by filling to the brim, making a note of the Odometer reading. When fuel is getting low, fill it to the brim again preferably at the same pump so the car is tilting the same amount, making a note of exactly how many litres it took and the new odometer reading to get the miles driven. Then recalculate mpg, remembering to divide the litres by 4.544 to get gallons. If you have the wrong size tyres/wheels on it can ruin the calculation. This isn't 100% accurate but it is the best you can do without going to a lot of trouble. The official figures are 21 mpg Urban & 28 mpg Combined and you should get a bit nearer that.

To be honest lately iv been driving like an old biddy lol and as you know yourself camberley/sandhurst isnt exactly the greatest roads to get any kind of speed up the wheels and tyres are the ones from standard 17 inch wheels and tyres and iv checked the tyre pressures which are what were in the book so they are all fine so i really dont know what else it could be ,the only other thing is its idling a bit high at around the 1500-2000 mark. The other week i had to go to london and put in 30 quid of petrol and mostly motorway driving i got about 110 miles if i remember right.Im really stumped but it really is seeming like i have to sell it.

Im bloody jelous that you have an isf and you even get more mpg than me lol now doubly jelous lol.

    cheers

    try re-setting the ecu

  3. My 301BHP turbo IS200 does 22MPG on average and 28 if driven like an old lady changing gear at 3000rpm and not using the turbo past .4bar.

Just had a RR session and its lambda 1 all the way up to 4000rpm!!!! with no cats.

hardly relevant as you are running a different engine :whistling:

  4. wheel nuts should alway be torqued up

by relying on doing them up by hand is a bit hit and miss

    everyone has vastly different strengths,

problems occur when they are overtightened, the studs get stretched and stressed and become liable to snap, under-tightened and they are liable to work loose

if you absolutely need to drive on 4 studs, make sure they are torqued correctly, don't try and tighten them more to compensate for one being missing !

when fitting new studs, nuts, or even wheels always check again a week or so later for correct torque

by the way missing a nut or bolt is an MOT failure !

  5. mr mole was not banned nor suspended

he asked to be removed from gold status, and was !

this surprisingly flagged up a warning which was removed immediatly the moment we found out about it

with removal of gold status, certain features and pm amounts decrease

with what appears to be glitch in the system, he has had problems

at first he said he couldnt post, i asked him via rob to check his cookies, which i presume he has done as he is now able to post

I asked him to check his pm box isnt full, but have not heard if this helped

I have checked all his account settings and they all indicate nothing is wrong

Ok if thats the case why did I have a message when I logged in a few days ago that I had been suspended for a year ??

Then once it was questioned through Rob this was reversed ??

Never did anything with my cookies, It was stated that the site might have been having problems with fire fox , I was using Internet Explorer at the time .

There is nothing wrong with my account now, but this has just happened today.

My inbox did say it was full but again this just happened today after you mentioned it.

So can you do what I have asked please, and then we can all be happy again.

    Thanks for your time,

    Mr Mole

well i have tried do what i can to help

if you feel that you do not want to be part of these forums that is your choice

  8. Dear Bazza,

thank you for taking the time and trouble to reply.

I wish to remind your goodself that you are not inundated with requests like mine, for, as you wrote further; "auction buying companies are new to me and i would guess most members here." ie; my request was therefore novel and completely unfamiliar.

may I point out to you that the words "offers very much like yours" was so put to imply people asking for help regarding auctions and percentages etc are very commonplace not only here but throughout the whole internet world

the fact that "auction buying companies" are new to me or other members, does not imply that your initial request was novel

"a new day a new scam" could well have been apt

not that I am trying to imply that you are in actual fact a scammer , but just the fact that similar requests generally lead to one, and therefore tend to be handled with caution

There is naught to forgive in one being "offish". It is not a sin and many cultures show initial reserve. Yet I feel that boorish and graceless postings do little to promote goodwill.

I wish to draw your goodself's attention to your tems and conditions with reference to Forum Terms And Conditions; "be polite, treat your your fellow members with respect."

And in Forum Conduct And Message Content; "We take the "be polite rule VERY seriously! We will not tolerate ANY rudeness etc". It is a shame that these rules will not be enforced.

if you have any complaint about me, please feel free to report it, either steve or mat will be happy to listen

if you have any complaints about any member, please feel free to report it to a moderator, and action will take place

please let me point out that most members who have experienced scamming are very reluctant to help what may appear to them to be a scam,

Censure should be based on an understanding of the facts, not an automatic and ignorant outcry.

cant agree more, thats why the moderating team chose not immediately close this thread

however other members experience tend to automate their reply

Sir, I posted for the first time in almost three years and look what I got. Would you ever post again?

    Yours faithfully,

    ishmael.

sadly I did, and I am still here 7 years later !

  9. Ishmael

we are unindated with requests and offers very much like yours, so forgive us if we seem offish, most requests are scammers who try one way or another to extract money, or our services from us

where ip addresses contradict where the poster says he is from, it is always treated with caution

auction buying companies are new to me and i would guess most members here, so sorry if we cant cast recommendations or advise you further

lastly a member since 2007 !! and only a handful of posts

stop being shy and post a bit more

    we dont normally bite :)
