  1. It’s been a while since this was actually posted on here but I feel I should still reply as it may help somebody.   I’ve owned a 2018 NX300h for the last four years.   Around town I manage no more than 31MPG.   We recently drove into southern France from the UK.   The car had a full boot of stuff and four people and we did no more than 18MPG all the way. We run Michelin X climate 2 tyres all round.   So if your intention is short journeys this car makes sense.  For long trips and fast motorway driving, steer well clear unless you have deep pockets.

You won't be disappointed with Xclimates, you'll notice less road noise and the car feeling a bit more sure footed on the road

Yes. That is exactly what I did notice this evening when I went to the gym.  The road noise is now minimised and the ride is now a lot smoother.  I'm glad I made the switch rather than just sticking two new bluearths on the front.

It's a 2018 with 17,000 miles on now. I'll probably trade in between two and three years time, hopefully I'll have more fully electric choices by then.

It's a decent car, albeit engine rather underpowered. My young son likes looking out the pan roof from his seat.

  3. Hi all,

At that time where I might need a new set of tyres to replace the stock Yokohama bluearths the NX300H came with.  I don't want to get into changing them every winter and summer, little point in the UK with the mild winters.  Given that, i'm looking for the quietest and pest performing tyre out there.  Any recommendations?

    Thanks all!

After complaining, I have just had my Takumi software patched for Apple car play/Android after some major navigation system problems.

Lexus have told me that to use the software I need to hardwire my phone to the USB port in the centre console for this to work.

Try doing that on the move and you'll not only be breaking the law but will probably end up in a heap on the side of the road.

So having spent £47000 on this car I now have a nav system that is equivalent to a cigarette lighter plug-in.

I have expressed my dissatisfaction to Lexus who are doing the ritual denial, and attempting to throw the problem over the wall to the dealer who sold me the car.

I have told Lexus that the vehicle is not as described, not of satisfactory quality, and not fit for purpose, and requested that I return the vehicle and my money refunded. Lexus state this is not a reason to return the vehicle. My solicitor thinks otherwise.

I would be grateful for any heads-up on other customers who have had similar experiences.

My phone is always on the wireless charger in the centre console, with the Car Play update it's still in the centre console, just with a wire attached - I don't understand how this changes anything

  5. I just had my 2018 NX updated with  apple Car Play & Android Auto  last week.  I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S20.

For whatever reason Waze was not showing with the other Android Auto Apps on the cars display.  After a bit of hunting around I found this.  Turns out enabling developer options in Android Auto fixes the issue.

Leaving this here so others with the same phone and car combo can get things working.

  6. I had a 1996 V8, but sold it in 2011.  I had a 1992 2.5 TT before that in green, but don't have any pictures of that to hand.  Here are pictures of the 96 V8.  Both cars were immaculate (at the time of ownership) with no modifications apart from the wheels and Supra 8 pots.  I wish I had these cars in this condition today.

  7. I had the tyre pressure light come up on my dash today.  I scrolled through all the menu options on the multi function display, but cannot find the pressure for each tyre.  How do I access this to find out what tyre is causing the issue? -- They all look fine.  I have inflated them all to 31PSI and reset the indicator in settings, so far so good.

The light was actually on in the photos the dealership sent me before i bought the car, it was off when I went to collect it - I do hope it is not a slow puncture.

    Cheers.
