Only 35,000 but it looks to be a little "abused" for its miles, nothing too bad, just tatty and needs TLC, I could no way have spotted this when I bought it, the tech took a picture and showed me and that was pretty hard to get by the looks of it. Thanks to the LOC discounts though its £100 cheaper than normal

Guys, Quick question to see if things are working as they should. When I bought my car I attempted to replace the pollen filter wrongly as it seems and I thought I had broken it as I didn't put it in recirculate before I did it. I was then told it was ok as the mechanism inside the glove box opens and closes automatically as it should and if it was broken it wouldn't. I noticed yesterday on a trip with the temp set at 22 degrees that hot air was coming out and then it seemed to go cols on the feet, wasn't expecting it but I was wondering if anyone else can say that's how it goes? I would expect the air to cool when it gets up to temp but not icy cold on the feet. Just to check I opened up the glovebox today and tested that the mechanism was still working, when I have the setting on auto and move the recirc/fresh button between the two the lid in the glovebox opens and closes as it should, closes for fresh and opens for recirc, but when I put it into auto and it sits on auto fresh the lid opens up as it does in the recirc mode. Can anyone confirm this is how it should work? or have I indeed broken something somewhere. I appear to be taking up a lot of posts in this forum, I am sorry just trying to get a feel for eveything, new car, new things etc etc. Thanks Wayne

My new 450h went in today for its fuel pipe recall and all was good except the visual inspection picked up a couple of things I missed (Hold onto the wallet) It has 2 sticking rear calipers although looking back in the history they have never been done. And a leaking water pump which they would hardly see let alone me.. Needless to say wallet emptying is about to commence but my spirits havent been dampened too much yet ,everything else is good.

I have tried everything this afternoon, different settings, DVD ISO / DVD Jubox MP3 disc and nothing works, the DVD changer excepts the disc and just hangs, it doesnt give an error it just doesnt seem to read it.. unless me giving it about 3 minutes isnt long enough due to the amount of songs on it? Any other suggestions of anything else to try appreciated. If anyone has done this, appreciate some stereo instructions of the process... Thanks

Hi Guys, Have been trying to burn a DVD either single or dual layer so it will play music in the DVD changer of the 450h. I can burn an MP3 disk in Nero using the ISO burn but every time I try it with a DVD the car just wont read and play it. Have tried a DVD movie and that works, can anyone tell me if they have been successful in burning a DVD MP3 only disc and how it was achieved. As I don't have USB it gives me more songs per disc if I can pull it off. Thanks. Wayne

Hi, managed to change these reasonably easily on my IS 250 but not sure about on the 450h, is it the same as a GS 300? cant find any instructions anywhere except people saying it isn't easy. Can anyone also tell me if they have to be CANBUS LED's as the ones on the IS weren't. Also some of the LED's are quite long, does anyone know how much space there is in the top of the light for a bulb? Thanks

Hi guys, Just bought one as car was smokers car and want to help try and get rid of residue and smell. The aerosol says to put in passenger footwell to set off but just wanted to check with you guys that its the right place on the 450h, I think I needs to go where the air recirculation intake is for the A/C but don't really know what im looking for so before I waste a tenner just wanted to check that the instructions are correct for this car. Thanks

Nope, Tried everything. As its already in park, I Open the doors Close the door Power on Hold drivers door unlock for 5 seconds and nothing. Cant see how else to do it, tried locking the door when I get in first too. I guess ill just have to get Lexus to do it when they have it for a recall in a weeks time. That process comes from the manual.

Hi guys, just bought 450h from IS 220d and on my old car the drivers door only opened when I wanted to get out unless you used the switches on the door. The local Lexus dealer changed that so that within 10 seconds I could open my door and the others would open. I was reading through the manual and it looks like it says that I can make the car open all the doors when it goes into park which I would like to do but I cant get the steps in the manual work. Does anyone know if it can be done by me and not by the dealer? or does it have to be programmed by the dealer. thanks Wayne

Well I do like my cars to be nice so the niggles are small, biggest really being that it only came with one key! how people lose them I dont know. Other than that it just needs a good bodywork going over as it had been at the dealers a long time and they hadnt done much with it over that period. Mechanically seems peachy except for fuel pipe recall which I have booked in. Cosmetic things can be dealt with, just wanted to make sure the car was sound. Oh and how on earth does someone break off 3 Air vent knobs! i'll never know.. Cheers for the replies

Me again, new 450h owner trying to find my round my new car, So I knew it had been smoked in, not badly but a little so I was looking through the manual last night (yes some of us do) and it said a DIY job was to remove and clean the pollen filter in the glove box. I managed to get it out, and to release the actual filter you sort of have to lift up a bit of plastic. Trouble is the filter is dirty and will need replacing but the lid that was over the pollen filter now wont come back down again there is a gap as you look at it where as there wasn't when I took the filter out. I have tried pulling the lid down but it just springs back up. The manual never mentioned anything like this so have I broken it? I hope not.. Any help appreciated Thanks
