  1. Looks like an old thread but appears in my case problem still exists. I have new RX450H and trying to connect Samsung S5 and iPhone 5S. No luck with online search Any suggestions?
  2. Hello - It appears that I am facing similar problem. User manual suggests that you should have DUN compatible phone (I am using S5 unrooted). I have bluetooth teethering ON and then I have paired again but still don't get the "online search" working. The portal access is correct as I have tested user name and password on my PC and it works. Any suggestion on how to use "online search" feature using S5 of iPhone 5C/S would be great.
  3. Thanks Chris - that's a very neat trick! I visited Lexus dealer yesterday and he has confirmed with the service team that the reverse mirror setting is not possible .....so M3 setting work around it is! I don't park on a regular basis near the curb but kick myself any time the tyre grits against the road. Realy appreciate support of the community with the queries.
  4. Agree ;) Buying a Lexus was an informed decision as I also tried Audi Q7 before placing the order. The price point is almost edging towards a highly congested choice of premium 4x4 however luxury and quality element of Lexus got my vote. PHEV from Mitsubishi is another choice but agree that it is untested Hybrid which needs some credibility and time.
  5. Agree Dan - looking at my profile picture I think I am in last 3% of the UK population. This explains why I was not able to find a used car to my preference :) My valeting cost will certainly go up but love the ivory colour and walnut wood pack in my car - really nice. BTW Audi is releasing Hybrid Q5/Q7 (Think you know already) come december so worth checking that out. I was biased towards Lexus having driven Prius for many years and knew I can trust Toyota for a reliable Hybrid.
  6. I am actually experiencing the same problem with my new 450H. I bring my seat quite forward so need better view of the kerb than a slight dip that normally happens when you reverse. I have tried the manual setting(above), discussed with the dealer .... so far no success.
  7. Hello Dan, I am a new buyer of 450H and went through some of the questions you raised above. In my case side camera, air suspension, ML music system, HUD, ACC/PAS, cooled/heated seats, heated steeting wheel as options nudged me towards the premier model. I like the option of able to see the kerb to protect your precious alloy however you also get warning messages with side/front and rear sensors. I think your question has been well answered with regard to how the side camera works. It is an added bonus which adds yet another dimension to see outside your side. I liked the way NX presents almost 360 degress view when reversing ... I think RX will get in coming years.
  8. Thanks ... yes. Tried the button today to change the suspension height (Hi/Lo/Normal) which didn't work in the first instance however holding the button down for a sec or two did the trick. TBH didn't noticed much difference but will watch out for performance change and steering play. Also I was informed by the dealer PCS is active by default and shouldn't be changed for obvious (safety) reasons. Getting used to the ride difference ... which is a real pleasure! Ability to open boot door from the front panel is amazing and very practical. Q: Anyone been able to adjust the (amount of) drop of the side view mirrors to a lower level when reversing? I read in some of the post that it's possible to adjust (to see more of the kerb) however when tried at the dealership it didn't work. I have RX450H Premier and believe manual settings works for GS. Any suggestion would help.
  9. Thanks Rayaans ... this means my phone will continue to find a place on dashboard :) Navigation maps in cars are so pathetically dated and they are at times sold as an optional feature .....anyway I knew about the 2016 release at the time of order however I believe in ironed out features rather than gazzy new unknown bugs (my background in software testing) so will stick to a well tried and tested 2015 last production run. The car is no doubt an amazing drive if only Lexus stayed intune with technology development. No damper at all with other features to impress the driver.
  10. Hello all, Took delivery of my new Premier 450H yesterday. Absolutely heavenly drive and such a luxury! Loving the new ACC/PAS feature which is quite freaky as car takes over the control on braking and acceleration .... almost like a preview to Google car. Not much change from me on Hybrid train as been a Prius owner earlier so used to quiet driving experience. A few queries as a new owner: I am not amused (but not surprised) at rather old fashioned Lexus navigation system. Any suggestion if there is a possibility to use google maps, waze type display from your iPhone to the screen? Unable to set the suspension Hi/Lo mode .... any suggestions? Likewise happy to answer any questions for a speculative buyer :)
