Hi All And my TPWS come back on again, Turned out to be a slow puncture. Got it fixed by local garage. It was a small screw bolted into the tyres.!! I am pretty sure it was in the Lexus garage. I know it could happen anywere but in my case i got the warning straight after I drove back home from lexus service centre so i am pretty sure it was picked up in the garage. But i am not going to blame them for this I just got it fixed. And Got the break squeak fixed this morning. When i picked up the car it had new discs and pads fitted. They did not grease it properly so it was rubbing against the disc and making a high pitched noise. All sorted for a cost of 30 min labour. Thanks Hari

Hi All I bought the lexus gs450h gen 3 recently and the dealer had fitted brand new discs for me. Ever since i got the car i had this odd squeaking noice on low speed and reversing. It is such an embarrassing noise especially for the car which is so silent. Any did some research and there is number of thing that causes this. In my case it was not greased properly. The break pads were sharp and rubbing against the discs which give a high pitched noise. Local garage actually fixed it for me and costs 30mins of labour. Just an fyi in case you fit a new discs please make sure it is greased properly. Thanks Hari

Hi Sorry for a lot of questions as a new owner of the GS450h 3rd gen. Just some clarifications needed please. 1. Sport Suspension mode: I usually put the Sport suspension and the Hybrid power mode together but yesterday going around a twisty roads I thought I turn on the sports suspension but but left the power to normal. To my surprise I noticed a change in the throttle response. It was lot more responsive than normal. Does the sport mode actually change the throttle response. Please some one explain. !! 2. Cruise control coasting: I was driving on a Built up area on 30mph and decided to put the car on Cruise. Unlike my old 220d or any other car I noticed the GS is actually coasting. It was not steady 30mph it was trying to coast on battery and suddenly increase the speed to 30. have anyone noticed this?. Not sure if it will be same case for higher speeds. I clearly notice the speed was not steady. 3. No Eco mode/snow mode: Is snow mode similar to Eco mode? This is one thing I see in the newer model I really like to have the eco mode so let the car take care of careful throttling. What is snow mode any way. Thanks Hari

Thanks Mike and KayCee I did try to reset the tpws using the button below it dint go away. pumped the tyres up in the end. one of the tyres were like 25psi . Pumped it up and it disappeared within few seconds of driving Regarding breaks doesnt bother me too much but it is noticable when it happens. I think Lexus should find the fault and fix it. When it sequels it is a bit embarrassing for such a silent car. I remember my dealer saying they replaced the discs when i picked up the car. May be to do with new discs. Thanks Hari

Hi All, Just got my car back from Lexus after Hybrid Health Check And the fuel pressure gasket recall done. Mine passed the HHC with no issues so I get additin 12months warranty on the Battery. Couple of things i noticed after I got the car back my Tyre pressure sensor showing a warning now. Lexus saying they have not touched it may a bump on the way back I am not sure I am just going to put fill the tyres with correct pressure and reset the Tpw. I believe the reset button right under the steering column. Also not sure if it due to the recent visit to Lexus My breaks squeals at low speed and while reversing. It also happens in the morning when I start the car and use my breaks for the first time Is this normal? Thanks Hari

Thanks for info yes I am aware that the 450h are not designed to run out of fuel but thanks again you just explained the reason behind it. So we have to be very carefull not to run out fuel if you do DO NOT TRY TO START YOUR ENGINE. call for help or walk Thanks Hari

Thanks John, Glad to know it started fine. @Zotto Mine is a 2010 unfortunately does not have the ev mode. Hopefully my next will be a newer GS450h

Same here I am sure it will be easy to find. So far I have not spotted a singe GS around

Thanks all It is good to hear it is normal. Things are never warm in this country @royoftherovers wish u a full recovery soon. The fact I have almost full charge on yhe above picture is I dove a bit hard up hill and tried to coast and regenerate on a downhill and got it to almost fully charged. (was just trying to charge fully) It was hard I had to concentrate lot to drive that way. Thanks H

Thanks John Have to tell I have been driving sensibly and under speed limit compared to my old IS220d but I guess having the energy monitor and conciseness of running on electric motor makes me go gentle on the right foot. I 12c still tool cold for the engine to kick in on start up? I just drove to work when started the battery was almost full just one bar down. Still I can hear the engine running but from the energy monitor I cant see it is charging the battery. It run for only few mins and cut off. when i was parking the car I can see the car was running on electric but i can still hear the engine whispering. the below pic i took this morning when the engine was still running but my battery was almost charged fully from last night. And my air con was off. I don't really use it all the time only when needed.

Hi New owner of the gs450h so loads of questions hope you can help please. I noticed that every morning and too often after I parked my car for few hours it always starts on engine and it cuts off to battery after few mins. The one feature that impressed be on the gs is how silently it starts but this is not seems to be the real case here. The battery was less than half charged usually when I park. I find it usually starts on engine more too often than in battery mode. IT is not too cold though it is about 15 to 19 c . Is this normal? How is the starting patter on your GS please share. I dont feel like there is an issue with hybrid system. so far it works well I get aroung 32mpg around town and it charges well too. I am planning to do a hybrid battery check with Lexus next week.

Hi al, I have a 2010 GS450h Se-L Sep reg. what are the standard kits that comes with se-L and What are all the optional extras. This morning I was trying to use the headlamp washers but it doesnt seem to work. There is a button in the hidden box but nothing happens if i press it. Is it optional ? or is it just not working. Thanks piasek After a lot of thought Bought a GS450h 2010 but with 64k miles but it has 7 lexus service stamps and one more from the car dealer. I must say it is a brilliant machine seamless performance only had it for 5hrs now and did 200mils so far. Absolute pleasure to drive. 200 miles I managed to get 32mpg but It is probably me driving like my 220d. On a stop stop traffic for around 4 miles I got 41mpg though. Now I am thinking of Lexus warranty. I got 6 mnth warranty from third party but doesnt cover Batterry not sure abt suspension. Is the lexus warranty worth the money? is there a cheaper alternative? Yes a main dealer selling it via sister company which belongs to the their Group. Not sure where the 400 comes from. Only thing that interest me is it is actually the main dealer all sounds too good to be true also the car is priced at Private sale price. I can understand this car is not fit for lexus approved but for what reason ? what the dealer saying is it is the age then it is ok I can buy ? But is there anything seriously wrong then no i rather stay away? on the flip side i received a vehicle servcice history which shows there is no repairs carried on but has correct service history. Still not decided on gs450h or is250. One question is the mpg figures compared btwn GS and is i know i shouldnt buy GS for the mpg but interesting to compare with IS I am assuming they are more or less the same. Hi All Hope all is well. I have a lexusis220d and have owned it for a year and i can say i love it. But due to lot of short commutes I am thinking of buying a petrol or a hybrid lexus. mine is a 2010 Se-i Navigation. So my choice now is to go for a 2011 lexus IS250 Advance Auto. Or a 2010 Lexus GS450h . I am sort of leaning towards the gs as it is an amazing machine. So here are my questions. . Does the GS450h match the mpg offered by IS250? lets assume i am a decent driver with light foot. (a diesel user though never owned a petrol) . Can I go for a 2010 (pre reg 59) plate GS450h se with 72000 miles but i can see one service missing for around 20,000. and most recent service history was done jan2015 so it is over due on age but not millage. the dealer will service it when selling. What should I look for? Should I buy? what are typical ownrshp cost betwn 70k to 120k miles apart from service? . Another choice is a 2011 (61) lexus is250 Advance auto Nav offered via lexus dealer but non-approved when questioned the lexus dealer said they cannot sell cars that are more thn 3yr old so they sell it via lexus but no warranty. I will have to pay 400 for the warranty. Sounds a but dodgy but it is a genuine lexus dealer i checked but advertised via sister company. The miles the car done is 26000 for a 2010 i thought it is low. It has full service history though done on time. final option keeping my 220d. only thing is my commute is around 3mils + 3mils every day. i do go out every week to cinema shopping which is around 5miles away. May once or twice a month i will go for a long distance 45miles. My car has not had any issues yet. I get around 31 to 35mpg for weekly commute around 45 on long distance please help. Thanks

Hi thanks Just got the car out of service. Still a bit same. Rough idling is what annoys me. The gear stick vibrates visibly and can feel the vibration on the seats. I am going to try Use the AR6400 see if this helps. I also might call lexus do a diagnosis jsut for the peace of mind. Wonder how much it costs

Hi I bought a used Lexus is220d 2010 with 45k on the odo. I changed it from a VW passat highline tdi2.0 (170). Few things that I observed are The car is noisy from 0 to 30mph and very quite on higher speed. And I found Changing gear from 1 to 3 there is noise and some jugger inside the gear box. When idle the car vibrates. I can feel it on the gear stick, Seats and doors. In terms of performance not as smooth as the tdi. The car struggles on the first two gears and the 3rd, 4th and 5th are very long and 6th is only usable above 80. Is this all normal for the car?? .. I got two independent mechs to have a look and they all say it is normal. But cannot accept the vibrations in the car it is way more from what I was used to. (I do understand the longitudinal alignment could create such vibrations but it is too much of it) I wonder if there is anything wrong in the car causes this ? Has anyone has such problems. Please discuss. I also have a AR6400-D handy which I am going to use to clean the fuel system. Before this I just need to know others experience in the car. If everything I said is normal i may not bother to use it.
