Would something have snapped, worked loose to cause that do you think?
I shall have to put it up on the ramps later then
-
I would ask to see the evidence mate, sounds iffy to me
-
I will explain as best I can
A heavy rattle only apparent under load i.e moving forward or reversing, no noise present if in neutral and blipping the throttle, and clears by 1,800rpm.
Noise appears to be coming from bottom of car, anywhere between front footwell and engine is as close as I can point at the moment. Car has a lot of vibration at 60mph+ and most apparent in footwell and coming through the seat - no steering wheel movement.
Any ideas anyone????

Under 'Questions from other buyers' I notice he has left his mobile number, just incase any of you want to call and have a look this weekend! (Unless anyone reads this: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/listing-keywords.html)
He wasn't very receptive to that. Apparently I am an anoying ******wit as well as a geek and I should **** off and shove my head up my arse, where it belongs , before he does it for me.
Now that was not very nice was it :D. He hung up shortly after I reminded him that I have his phone number and email address

have maintained the engine bay regularly
How much maintenance does an eninge bay need then???
-
Don't forget, it's the only Lexus on eBay with a full history as well.
Anyone know how much bhp a TRD oil cap will give me, anything less than 15 and I won't buy one :D

Went along this afternoon to have a look following an invite I had. Booked a 2 hour test drive in 2 weeks time as there were none avialable today. Certainly looks a nice car.
-
I had one for a weekend when my car was in for a service last year so shouldn't be a problem matey
-
Just as well it's commission month I suppose. :)

The main cat is fooked I think Mat, rattles quite a bit. Was going to get under the car today but go stuck doing the garden. I have got the day off tomorrow so shall stick it on the ramps and see what state it's really in
-
I fink my cat is failing/dead on my car. As Aido, I too am going through a lot of petrol doing chuff all miles. Power is most certainly down and there are lots of rattles coming from under the car. CEL has also come on a couple of times and the car dies under hard acceleration but starts immediately when you turn the key again.

................and the limited slip diff, two tone steering wheel, tinted rear windows, alloy scuff plates and pedals, 10mm lower springs and spoiler.
-
2000 (X) 104,000 miles
-
Don't like it at all but voted who cares as my next car is not going to be a lexus anyway
-
I wanted to like this car so much. All I can say is YUK YUK YUK YUK YUK.
Like has been said so many times before, it looks like a mix of loads of different cars - accord, bmw, GS, alfa, mazda, etc and has lost any identity the original IS had.
Still, all good things come to an end as they say.

Surely your wife suffered with some whiplash ? ....
And we all wonder why our insurance premiums rise each year
Hope everything gets sorted quickly alajota
Which Wheels Look Best?

Styling alloy I reckon. The T12 spokes are too thin and make the wheel look smaller.
