  1. Dear all,

I appreciate this is extremely short notice but I am posting this on behalf of my partner.

She is a Nursery Nurse and works for a day Nursery in Maidenhead. One of the children at the nursery has recently died following a long battle with Leukaemia and the nursery are holding a fun day in order to raise money for the When you wish upon a star foundation.

I would like to ask if anyone who works for a company would be in a position to donate anything, no matter how small, that can be raffled or placed as a prize in a tombola. So far we have had donations from various local companies that include some gift vouchers, wine and a hamper.

The fun day is this weekend so I really do appreciate that this is short notice but if anybody is in a position to help we would be most grateful.

    Thanks and kind regards,

    Mark

  2. Have had no dealing with Stockport but am currently arguing with Bracknell. I had an 80,000 service done 8 weeks ago. Went to put an induction kit on the car over the weekend and found that the air filter box was jam packed full of leaves and the filter itself had a hole about the size of a gold ball in it. In fact, the filter looked like fibre glass wadding rather than a filter. Worse still was the fact that leaves, grit and ***** knows what else had entered the throttle body.

Secondly, they had failed to notice a knackered drive belt. This begs the question, if they missed these 2 simple things, was a service carried out at all?

  3. Looks like they have seen the rear end of the new Mazda3. Then taken a glance at the side of their Z4. Then pondered for a while on making the front-end look like everything else they produce and then said, "lets try and wrap all these images together and make it look like a 4 door version of that ugly duckling M coupe thingy we used to sell"

    Personally, not for me

  4. Righty then:

My name is Mark. I am 25 and have been with my partner Tanya for 5 & a bit years. 2 kiddies. 1 girl (Kia - almost 4) and 1 boy (Kai - 21 months). Moved to a cottage in Maidenhead just before Christmas last year.

I am a Territory Development Specialist (poncy title for a sales exec) working for a call centre software company currently based in Slough but moving to Chertsey next month. I have had my 2001 black SE since Jan this year. No major mods done as yet as still spending out money on the house.

Hobbies - when I get the chance I play the guitar & take part in various martial arts.

    Who's next?

  5. I seem to be experiencing something similar.

When cold or standing the steering bounces rather than turn smoothly. The bouncing stops at almost full lock then it is just plain stiff. Both fluid level and colour are fine so am I looking at a knackered pump or slipping belt?

    Cheers

  6. Had the same problem myself, though only on the front as the noise was present whilst braking and turning. So on the weekend I spent an hour or so taking the front pads off, cleaning everything with brake cleaner and copper greasing everything but the face of the pads. The noise has now gone but for how long for is anyones guess.
