  1. I will shortly be changing my car and am wondering if my Lexus Spacesaver Wheel (Unused) and my Lexus Boot Liner (Undamaged) may be of use to any Member at a Discount price?
  2. Ian, When you say they don't charge, is this because you have the Premium model, or is it that your Dealer is very good (to you!!), or is this general Lexus practice for all customers?? I will see what happens on my next Visit & free Cuppa!!
  3. Ian, Yes I think you are correct. I have just registered with the Portal, BUT, when I tried to input the info for my Nav system (LexusNav13CY) it wasn't having it!! So, I must assume it's if you have Premium Nav (which is not on my IS300h Exec). Can anyone else confirm this? (It referred me to go to my Dealer for update - Mine shows Software Version VC18100B, which I assume was current when my Car was Registered in August 2015)
  4. Thank you Mark & Colin for your inputs. Colin, the Blackview DR650 is on my list
  5. As a newbie to Lexus, my car was registered in September 2015 - how do I find out which Sat Nav version I have on my Car. Also, can someone explain what the 'Lexus Portal' is!! Any help/advice much appreciated
  6. Thank you Tony & Malcolm for your inputs. TONY: The boot light does have a permanent 12V feed to it, 'BUT' I don't think this would be suitable for a rear Dash Cam as it would power the dash cam continuously, and run down the battery when Ignition was off!! COLIN: Can you tell me the route that the cable feed to your front dash cam takes? Does it run down within the front left or right Pillar (were the Curtain Air Bags are, I believe)? What make of camera did you install, has it been reliable? I am also going to add a double socket adaptor in the front console (for front Dash cam + iPod) - this is one I have been looking at. available at Screwfix! - 'Ring 8A Twin Multisocket with Battery Analyser 12V' - Product Code 74820
  7. Sorry Zotto, I think we are at cross purposes for what I am trying to find out!! Question: Does anyone know If there is a 12Volt 'Ignition controlled supply' anywhere in the Boot/Boot Lid Area, which I could tap in to - 'TO ADD' a 12 Volt Power Outlet (Same as in the front Console area) to fit somewhere in the Boot Area??
  8. Zotto, The 12Volt Ignition controlled supply I will need is for a Reverse Facing 'Dash Camera' - NOT a Reversing camera!! (See my orig Post)
  9. Slickk, Interesting line up, wouldn't dream at laughing at your number 1 - just look at mine!!! My brother in law ran an RS4 Avant until recently, he liked it, and as far as I know didn't have any problems. My Lexus is the very first car I have owned that is a CVT Auto and now, after 4 months ownership I rather like it. Reason: So much traffic and queueing in my area, IMHO, auto makes it all so much easier! Sport mode does give me enough 'poke' when I need it, and I like the balanced, not so firm ride that the Exec gives - but each to their own! we are all different.
  10. My idea was to pick up an ignition controlled supply from 'within the boot area (if possible)' - This would feed the rear Camera. The front Camera would be powered from the front power outlet. Looks like I will have to visit my Dealer and get this checked out!
  11. No, all were privately owned and run, but as I said, some were run by my wife! The Cortina 1600E had lowered Lotus suspension - but how I wish I had owned a Lotus Cortina (Mk1), just didn't happen Alas!!
  12. Has anyone fitted (or had fitted) a 12v outlet in the Boot Space - Supply to be Ignition controlled (not a permanent supply)! Reason: Wish to fit Rear Dash Cam and don't want to run long cable through car interior to centre Console! Any advice welcome.

  14. Does anyone happen to know if the nearside reversing light position is pre-wired (though the Actual LED light bank is not fitted). Any positive comments would be appreciated
  15. Sturdy, Solid animals are Badgers, this is the second time in my driving years I have hit one - In both cases, I have stopped, but could not see the Animal anywhere!!!
  16. Look what happened when Lexus meets BADGER!! I was Coming home about 00-30 in the early hours, Pitch Black, Unlit Road, No other Traffic, had got up to 40/50 mph when suddenly, out of the corner of my Right Eye I 'just' saw it - A very large Badger - No time to react, and I gathered it up initially with the front Bumper, then a mighty 'BANG' and under my front Offside wheel it went and Backwards underneath and out of the rear, car has covered only 500 miles!! Stopped, but couldn't see a thing - Drove home and then saw the damage. Took car to Lexus Stoke for them to Access Damage (told Insurance I may pay if not too expensive) - but it was - Approx £1600 - New Complete Bumper, Grille and fixings, New Offside Fog light, possibly sensors and Painting!! Excellent service from both Lexus and my Insurance Company (LV) - no arguments or disputes. Back on Road all work complete and looking Excellent in less than 10 days.
  17. Hi Mark, Yes I also dealt with Joe, but also got very good advice from both Andy & Rod. Gary, the Spare parts Manager was helpful - he got me the Mudflaps (very quickly). I do recognise the handover room, was taken through to here following the 'Japanese Tea Ceremony' that is now carried out prior to the Car handover!
  18. Thank you 'all' who have posted in reply to my new arrival, comments and Advice much appreciated. In reply: To Paul: - I chose Black leather as I thought it offset the Mesa Red quite well! To Tony: - Ordered through my Dealer when I found out they were available for the '15 Model year (I had previously been told they were 'NOT' available) Let me know if you or anyone else would like the Part Numbers. To Adrian: - No, it came from my Local Dealer - Lexus Stoke.
  19. About 3 weeks ago I joined the Lexus Owners Club having bought my first Lexus and expecting to be the proud Owner/Driver a few days Later. But due to paperwork delays at the DVLC I have only recently been able to take Delivery. After a lot of deliberation and road tests (Golf S/GTI, Audi S3/A4, BMW 3 Series and finally Lexus I purchased the IS300h Executive, pre registered by my local dealer it had 10 miles on the clock and was offered with a Substantial Discount!! (Probably because it was at the end of a Month?) And, what a pleasure it is proving to be - so quiet, comfortable and so very well Built - I think I have made a good choice. To date I have covered just over 250 miles, still trying to get used to the Sat Nav system (always used TomTom previously) and Audio set up, but it is currently showing 48 mpg, so I think that is OK on the general roads and Towns I have been on/in. I have fitted a set of Mud flaps following delivery (an easy job) and worthwhile in my opinion - maybe will help with stone chips etc! As a newcomer, any useful comments/advice would be most welcome.
  20. Hi John, They quoted me £300 Excess, which seems fair enough. Off now (Monday) to Lexus Stoke, DVLA have sent me my new V5 and No. Plate Retention Cert, so now I just have to negotiate a 3 year Service Deal for the IS (I don't think they will be as reasonable as Honda have been - but let's see what they will do!!!). Regards Robi
