I've order the set of eBay so I'll see what works. Hopefully they will work as I have done some research and a cone type end keeps coming up.

Woohoo! Just won some DHP wheels on eBay. Hopefully get the picked up later this week. I know the wheel nuts used on these are a conical type and different to the standard LS400 wheels. Could someone confirm that these nuts will work .... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M12-x-1-5-19mm-Hex-Alloy-Wheel-Nuts-Set-of-20/181594136854?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Swapped the radio over at the weekend for a second hand one with a working display. The old one had no lighting and the display had mostly disappeared.
Centre console was easy to get out but the top vents are stubborn. Plastic trim tools are a must. Also the connectors are really tight so require a firm pull.
Thought the HVAC controls hadnt been connected back properly when I started the car but after 10 seconds or so they came on. Must be a system check after being disconnected.

It's also in your owners manual at the page about how to change the indicator bulbs. I too have some clear ones and very happy with them

I'll have a look in the manual, I should have thought of that! Need to order some chrome bulbs first.
Yours looks smart, infact I was chatting to you on FB yesterday about spigot rings! The 350 wheels might be a future upgrade!

Where did you source the clear ones?
Lucky enough to get them for free with some clear indicators I bought second hand.

I think I've found it, slightly different to that one Steve https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/162901790746?chn=ps&dispItem=1&adgroupid=13585920426&rlsatarget=aud-295856145004%3Apla-142413579186&abcId=&adtype=pla&merchantid=6995734&poi=&googleloc=9074305&device=c&campaignid=207297426&crdt=0

Clear lenses looking good Duncan , where did you acquire them from if you don't mind me asking .
Managed to get them from someone who was selling a car with them fitted and I cheekily asked if he'd sell them. I don't think anyone will sell them into the UK so they are hard to get hold of.
-
Brill, yep they are the same.
Just need to figure out what the connector on the back of the side light part of the clear lenses is now

Ah should have said for the MK3

Could someone tell me the bulb type for the front indicators and side repeaters? I've fitted/fitting clear lenses and want to change the bulbs to the silver type that flash orange.
Also can anyone identify the type of fitment in the picture of the back of the lense? Its American spec so we don't have the wiring for it as its a running light but I'd like to have it wired up but will need to find out what type of connector it is.

Can anyone tell me how to remove the side repeaters off the wings? I've got some clear ones to replace them with.

Personally I love everything about this apart from the price.
Yep, I love the colour and the wheels are my first choice if I can find some at a reasonable price. Still more miles on it than my MK3 though :)

As John and Mark have said a hybrid warranty check is a must, even if you pay for it yourself.

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be my wifes key playing up. I took it to Timpsons to get the Battery changed a year previous and all was well but last summer it started playing up and she couldn't open/start the car. Had to borrow my key. I thought it might be the Battery failing so I took the fob to Timpsons to be changed but they tested it and said it was sending a strong signal. Couldn't work it out until I looked at the Battery and realised that what Timpsons had done was to fit two thinner batterys instead of the correct type! So I bought the correct type and fitted it, all working no problems again.
So my advice before doing anymore investigation, change the fob Battery.

Yes I think you be fine with fitting LED's and the low wattage they consume. I believe its the rear brake lights that might have some sort of way of sensing if a bulbs out.
I've just been speaking to someone on the UK LS owners club on Facebook and they've just spliced into the sidelight wiring to run some orange running lights like they would have in the states. I'll see if I can copy some pics across.

That would be a interesting idea and certainly modernise it.

One of todays jobs, change the wiper blades. Easy enough with the sweep and turn ignition off technique! Put some of the floppy type on, hopefully they'll work better in the colder weather the normal wiper blades just seem to freeze up so they don't conform to the screen.
The other job was change the sidelight bulbs to LED. Takes quite a bit of force to pull the unit out. Pulling forward hard on the headlight side until the plastic clip releases from the holder on the headlight unit. The two guides on the other side then come out easy enough. Quite a bit brighter than standard now

quick fix for the bulbs, swap them over as it makes a connection in a different place and sometimes this is the problem.
