  1. Yup, I'd agree rayaans. The last two months I've been averaging about 48mpg. Now that the temp is back up I've been managing 55mpg. You may think you're driving the same way but there's going to be some differences. The first day I got my ct200h I managed 70mpg (though that might be my fuzzy memory). I was so scared of damaging my shiny new car that I must have driven it so carefully to achieve the high mpg. Since then I've been getting around 52mpg. Two days ago I decided to REALLY concentrate on my driving and figure out where I to use EV mode etc ... I managed 67mpg. The very next day I had to drive up a hill in anger ... it was only for a minute and it dropped back down to 53mpg. I'd say after 100miles you've relaxed into the car and your driving has adjusted as well. Are you driving the same journey? Are the traffic conditions the same every time?
  2. I can totally agree with all of the above. When I first got my CT last April I managed somewhere between 52-58MPG. For the whole of the winter I only managed 48. In some cases I got 42. However, I also noticed that once I got comfortable with the car my driving habits drifted back to the old days where I kept the power on all the time. The 'Pulse and Glide' method really does push up the MPG. Maybe someone could comment on the next bit but ... I found that being in ECO mode all the time sometimes gave me poorer MPG that if I stayed in normal mode. I have a lot of hills in my journey and I started to switch back to normal mode when going up them so that I could get more instant power and spend less time going UP the hill ... just an observation
  3. Found the problem. Not sure of the cause but ... when making a call on Bluetooth, the call volume seems to be only controlled by the steering wheel's volume buttons. I've been twiddling the main console's volume buttons with no effect. Don't know if that's an issue with my Android Samsung Note 5 as I reckon the CT is optimised for Apple phones.
  4. I found the phone volume setting, set it from max to midway ... no effect whatsoever. Maybe I'll un-pair the phone and try again
  5. Hi Recently my CT200h has developed the unusual symptom of pumping out all my phone calls with deafening loudness. I make calls with my Samsung Note 5 connected via bluetooth. Until recently it's been fine but now all incoming and outgoing calls are so loud it's become painful. I even set my phone to silent and have all the volume settings to silent but the speakers still pump out max volume. I know I should really try it with another phone but it took me ages to connect any phone to the car that I don't dare risk it incase i manage to disconnect my one. I can pump out music and video and satnav audio via bluetooth at normal volume. It's just the phone calls that are way too loud. Has anyone experienced this? The Ct200h is a 2013 plate and does not have inbuilt satnav.
  6. *facePalm* Lucky I checked here before doing any serious damage. Thanks Stompe. Feel free to knock some common sense into me!
  7. Hi I've just got a 'Low Key Battery' message on my dash cluster this morning. No biggie. The spare is till working. I've seen a lot of videos that demo how to change the battery but. Apparently I take out the physical backup key and use that to split open the fob. But ... no matter how much I twist and turn that key I cannot split open the fob. I'm worried about snapping off any part of the casing. Has anyone here tried this method? Does it require a fair bit of force?
  8. Hi!. I'm a new Ct200H owner (5months) and I had to use the tyre repair kit yesterday. Initially I was amazed that within 10mins I was up and running and on my way home. Just plug in the kit, break the seal, connect the hose and switch it on. You don't need to jack up your car so you barely get your hands dirty. 24 hours later and I am beginning to see what can be a simple easy task result in some huge headaches: It's only a temp fix. You're supposedly limited to 55mph and 50miles. I'm already up to 30miles and I don't have time to visit a tyre supplier until Thursday. So I'm on public transport till then. I don't really want to drive and have the sealant fail on me. Maybe someone here can tell me that they have driven for longer after using the TRK. I too have heard of a lot of fitters will bin your tyre after filling it with goo/sealant.This wouldn't be an issue except the the sealant is costing me £109 to replace from Lexus (or £180 for the whole unit!) For the cost of 2/3 budget tyres I get a small bottle of sealant which can only fix only tyre ... temporarily. The TRK can't handle sidewall or huge lacerations in the tyre. My local Lexus dealer also is being a bit shady about what tyres they are fitting for me. I finally get through to someone who can quote me a figure for new tyres and I get £119 per tyre. I managed to get it down to the correct size and now it's only £62 per tyre. So this one puncture will cost me £171 min. I'm still not decided on which is better. £300 for a space saver/full size tyre (and all the confidence you get with that), boot adapter to store it, loss of boot space and cost of repairs to tyre OR the ease of repairing your own tire and then £170 per puncture for a new tyre.
