At the very least have the calipers cleaned up and checked for no sticky parts everytime the pads are replaced.

Hi,
I know theres a mk1 GS300 down my local breakers.The radio head unit was in the car so was the CD change but there was no CD cartridge for it.Im going down the breakers before the end of the weekend and will have a look if the amps still in the car.If the amps the same as the mk1 Aristo then ive a spare amp if ones not in the car.

Sounds like dirty or worn connections if its on the central locking,if its just the drivers door then id say the lock is worn.

It might be worth cleaning the throttle body of the car and the PCV valve.

Hi,
I didnt use a main dealer so the labour per hour was around half the cost per hour,i supplied the belt so i just got charged the labour.Cost me around £130 around 3 hours labour :)

Im no expert with autoboxs box there might be slightly more waer on the clutches because of more slip with the box,but TBH i wouldnt worry about it to much if you find the car easier/nicer to drive in the wet.On other car i used to own i did the same thing,driving in snow mode in the wet.There was no traction control on that one and i found i had better traction when pulling out of a junction what with moving and turning the car.The car also didnt have a limited slip diff.
