Blimey, I wish Lexus Shefield were as helpful, they won't even fit a new Oxy sensor for about 150 quid to try and cure mine, in fact, exactly the opposite, they seem to be intent on dragging the fault out as long as they can.

Is the extended warranty for this fault also applicable to the IS250 please? I am having the same problem but my dealer does not know the answer. Also, is there any way I can take some proof the the dealer regarding the extended warranty?

I have a similar problem with mine, out of warranty end of Jul. 2010 with 17000 on the clock, the dealer cannot diagnose what's the matter with mine, see my post for further details.

Hi, I have an IS250 and the check VSC has come on once more, it originally came on about 2 years ago but reset ok, the dealer charged me £400 to cure it last week but it seems they have not done so as it has come on once more, they say it's running rich on one bank but don't know why, they have has the injectors out and checked those, oxygen sensors are ok but it's come back on, they put 2 lots of fuel treatment in and told me to give it a try! Is there an independant specialist I could speak to to try and get to the bottom of this please? I don't want to spend thousands chasing the fault only to not find a cure. The car is 8 months out of warranty with 17000 on the clock and Lexus customer relations don't want to know about diagnostic costs, they did however suggest they may replace the defective parts if any are found as a good will gesture. Is this a normal Lexus reaction to such situations please? Also the engine light is on and the traction control off light is on, the car is running normally.

I am thinking of fitting a parking sensor kit to my car, front and rear, what sort of job is it please? Have you got to remove the bumpers to fit one? It's a genuine Lexus kit I will be getting if I do.

Has it got an aftermarket mobile phone car kit, if so could have an audio transfere loom fitted which may have a loose connection or relays left open. Hi, I had the same problem with my IS250, all lit up but no sound, turned out to be the amp.that had gone, dealer fitted a new one under warranty no problem.

Thanks for that, where do I get them from please? The dealers? I have been told that Lexus do not make mudflaps for the IS250, is this true?

I have just bought a IS250, on driving home I thought I would put the stereo on, switched it on, it all lights up but there's no sound, the numbers go up and down but no sound still. It's the one without the sat-nav. Am I doing something wrong? Is there any fuses I can check please.

Does anyone know where the relay is located for the heated mirrors please?

Hi, I am on about the heated rear window/mirror switch, the neon was not lit but by turning the switch on/off I could hear a relay picking up/dropping off under the dash, the mirrors then went cold, I wondered whether it was the switch on the dash that was faulty or the relay? Neil.

Hi, The car is an 03 plate, the heaters have gone off now so I suspect they just come on with the rear window?
