not only are they costing us a fortune when mechanical problems fail now they are hitting us with stupid sensors in tyres that for years there was no need for them and now there is. its nearly a luxury to own a car these days to maintain them and it will keep getting worse with all there new tech and gadgets there putting in cars .

Thanks all for the replies. i read that after 5 years or so the lithium battery i the tyre pressure sensor die and new ones need to be replaced and the cost is nearly £200 through a main dealer ? can you just take these out and go back to normal valves in the tyres or would the ecu in the car not allow this ? as great all all these gadgets are in modern cars all they end up been is an expense down the road. also due to no spare wheel if u get a puncture and u have to ur the gel to put in to get u to a garage will this ruin the sensor that is in the tyre and can tge tire be fixed and used again afyer this gel is put into the tyre to get u to a garage to fix ??? thanks .

Hi all, i drive a 141 Lexus IS300h F sport and the other day the tyre pressure warning light came on. i put air in all the tyres 36 psi as directed by the manual and it turned itself off . i don't see an option in the menu that shows u on the screen what pressure is in each wheel which im surprised in a premium car as such when its on my sister's Hyundai jeep. am i missing something that i cant see it or is there just none on them ? Hello all, i have noticed the energy monitor screen on my lexus IS300H dims when i turn on the lights as the evenings start to get dark. Is this normal so ur not blinded by the screen while driving at night or would it be a sign of the 12v battery be going week ?? Thanks.

Congrads on the new car i bought one myself 2 months ago. I am in ireland aswel . I came from driving diesels myself but had to get away from them due to dpf troubles from not doing big mileage so i went for a lexus. They are a dream to drive . I have got some great information from lads on this site so any questions or worries ask and u will get plenty of feed back . Best of luck with the car and enjoy it 🙂

Its not for awhile yet so i am just asking to gove me an idea. When i bought the car the salesman told me €250 for a small service and €350 for a big one but im thinking he just said that to sell the car but i will mention that when the time comes . Thanks

Hiya thanks for the reply . I think the car is amazing so smooth and very responsive to drive. I can see there is allot of technology in the build of the car and how it works. You will love it 😁 I drive it mostly in eco mode but the very odd time i put it in sport and i am amazed at the power of it it takes off like a rocket. That fast that i get a fright and put it back to eco mode 😁 beat of luck with ur one and safe driving .
