  1. Hi all, Car has hit 100k miles and I'm going to do a service along with changing the coolant and brake fluids. From what I understand I have to activate the ABS pump using techstream to change the brake fluid. Has anyone done this, if so is it an easy task? Also is there any other fluids/parts I should look at changing at this mileage? Cheers.
  2. On the flip side has anyone noticed what I can only describe as a "notchy" steering feeling when travelling at relatively low speeds and making slight adjustments to the steering position. If I turn the steering to go around a bend for example it is fine. Slightly odd sensation I must say.
  3. Hi all, I have an annoying rattle/knocking noise when steering to the right on the drivers side (at full lock) Just to add that it primarily happens if the ground surface is not smooth. I changed my front discs and pads earlier today and had previously hoped that it was just the pads rattling but it's obviously not Any ideas? The suspension and bushings were all checked when doing the brakes so no obvious issues there. The noise is not an issue at any other time, just when turning sharp to the right.
  4. I'm hoping this will also cure the rattle I'm getting on rough surfaces (tapping the brakes cures this) does anyone know if there are clips that come with the pads?
  5. Thanks Colin, I'll make sure to put these items on the list. On another note my discs and pad need doing on the front, having reviewed the service history I saw no mention of brakes being done so far. So first pad change at 94k miles, that's some going. Picked up the full front set (pads and discs) from lexus Birmingham for 170 pound. Rears seem fine so will wait another while.
  6. Hi all, My IS300H is due it's 100k service later this year and I am wondering there is a definitive list which covers the checks and fluids etc that should be completed? I downloaded the lexus list but there are a lot of "model dependant" items on it which has confused me somewhat. Just wondering there is anything major I need to keep in mind? Needless to say I'm not going to Lexus for the service. Cheers.
  7. Thanks, now that you say it i only noticed it in the colder mornings in the last few weeks. Cheers for the info.
  8. Thats a bit more reassuring as thats what it feels like for me also (well perhaps not a brick but some level of force against the wheel with a slight shudder through the car) did you manage to resolve the issue?
  9. Thanks for the info everyone and apologies for the delayed response. It seems to only occur when turning to the right, when turning left on full lock it doesnt "skip" as much or at all really. I will have to get it checked out further as i think it is more than what others have described above. I can actually feel the car jerk when it happens. If this is normal ill be annoyed at Lexus.
  10. I have only noticed it on one side as i turn that direction coming out of the drive but will check both ways tomorrow. No other change that i am aware of but have seen people mention bushings and tiecrods online, neither of which appeared to display any obvious wear when on the lift. Its a strange one.
  11. Standard 17 inch alloys, not sure on tyre width but can check tomorrow.
  12. Hi all. My IS300H has in the last few days developed a strange issue, when on a 3/4 or full lock it is like the tyre skips and you get a slight jerking sensation. It happens in both forward and reverse. I got it up on a lift and nothing obvious was noticed as being wrong. Also the tyre on the side with the issue is getting worn on the outside. Any ideas? Cheers.
  13. Just tried that and the option along with the usb options are all greyed out, i assume this means it is not available?
  14. Hi all, I have been trying to connect up my phone to the car display but cannot for the life of me get it to work. I have the standard nav and when i plug my phone in to the usb port the phone screen goes blank and says that the phone and cat are now connected via mirrorlink, but nothing happens!! What am i doing wrong?? Thanks in advance, Adrian.
  15. Thanks, appreciate the offer. It may come in handy for someone else.
  16. Cheers mate but i got sorted in the end by another member on here, is it the mode select button or the entire assembly you have?
  17. Yeah thats me, cheers Andrew, how much did lexus charge for the new assembly? All i needed was the cap so i couldnt justify spending silly money. I have the assembly (less the cap obviously) if anyone ever needs one. Oh and the scuff plates look great too!!!
  18. Just as an update i got the part in the post yesterday and fitted it, nice easy fit so all is good now. It was a second hand part so had some small scratching but better than paying hundreds to Lexus. Thanks all for the suggestions.
  19. Wow, overpriced is right, ill go with the non illuminated f sport ones. Now to get a GS300h gear knob (same fitment apparantly)
  20. Yes purely cosmetic, as an update i have managed to source a centre console section from a scrapped car, presumably these caps are all the same size, will update when i receive/fit. Thanks all for the suggestions and info. On a seperate note does anyone know if ghe f sport scuff plates will fit other IS300h varients?
  21. Well thats that then, ill ask the price for the fun of it, scrap yard it is then. Thanks for the info Colin
