  1. Cheers Steve, many thanks. Least that seems easy enough to find. 🙂
  2. Okay, looking at the fuses there are 2/3 that it could be, and also a relay. Sorry for my lack of understanding, but could I just pull the relay out, alternatively, is there as single fuse just for the air compressor please. I cant find on the lists of fuses, one that just states that, but it's probably me being dumb.
  3. I recall reading somewhere that the engine should not be started when a LS430 is jacked up/on axle stands. I need to do just that, is there anything I should be doing with the air bags before hand please?
  4. Well that didnt go as planned. Cost was no where near the same as Leeds. about £800 for a 'sporty' one, and around a grand for one close to standard. The bloke was lovely, but too much for me. I have been getting itchy feet lately, so thinking now might be the time to move on. I have had a hankering for an SC430 for a while now (bloke who had my car before me had a SC before that, and I always loved that car). Anyone had one, as comfy to drive as the LS, as roomy in the front?
  5. Arrggg! Trying to join but just get a security warning when I try to verify my email.
  6. Popping through here tomorrow, so will see what they say. So long as they are not hundreds more than Leeds, I will probably give them a try.
  7. I am needing a new exhaust for the LS430. When people have had the custom made ones from the likes of Tony Banks, have they also had the Y section replaced? Does the Y section contain the cats, so I would have to buy new cats too? Anyone had the lot including the Y section replaced that can give me rough costs please? Also, can anyone recommend anyone nearer to the North East than Leeds? Many thanks.
  8. My next question will be, is it just a case of fitting the new one, plugging it in and go, or is there some strange electronic wizardry I have to perform please?
  9. I have circled the ends of the bracket that has snapped, and the arrow points from where the other end of the snap is, if that makes sense.
  10. Shame you cant seem to buy the brackets by themselves, as the sensor seems okay, but the price of them is *ouch*.
  11. Found the problem, just need to sort it now. Snapped sensor bracket.
  12. Constantly sitting low. I had discounted the height sensor due to it changing height when I put it on high, also with both sides being low I did not think both would have went at the same time, or would it ride low if just one side had gone? Any way of seeing which side needs replacing? Also, on a side note, is it okay to drive the car around with it set to high? Tia.
  13. ON my LS430, the suspension has started sitting far too low at the rear when it is set on the normal ride height. If I set it to high, it rises so my thinking is the compressor and the ride height sensors are both working, so unsure what else to check. Any help appreciated.
  14. Can anyone recommend a garage in the North East please. Preferably Sunderland/Durham area. Looking at getting my timing belt changed, I was going to do it myself, but after careful consideration...I have bottled it. Many thanks.
  15. 10 mins, is that including making the coffee? Probably the easiest belt I have ever replaces, loads of room to work it, it was actually a pleasure to do. 2 mins tops.
  16. So there was a break in the weather today, so another 2 jobs crossed off the list. Fitted a new front corner sensor, works fine. It was a cheapy from ebay, just incase anyone was cautious about buying a none branded one (as I was). If it stops working in a week, I will update, but so far, so good. I also adjusted the handbrake, as it was not holding the car even on a slight incline. I had googles and reviewed this, and they all said to adjust through the hole in the hub at the bottom (6 o'clock). I could not find the adjustment, so ended up removing the hub (easy job, 4 mins). So just for future reference for anyone else wanting to do this, it isnt at 6 o'clock on the LS430, it is at 9 o'clock. All in all, 2 jobs well done, that were not too taxing.
  17. I have considered it, but it is way down on the list of jobs to do. I firstly need to replace a parking sensor as the bleeping is driving me mad, and then the timing belt.
  18. Forgot to say, I also linked the fluid in and the fluid out connectors on the radiator just incase there ever was a breach of water into it.
  19. Just checked, and the fluid is dark, but has no smell to it. Its the facelift model so no dipstick. Car has done 85K miles. I bought 5m of pipe, so I had plenty of length, I worked out where I was putting the radiator, and the routing of the pipes, so I knew what length I needed, then marked the pipes for cutting. I then filled the pipes and radiator with fluid and clamped the pipes off where I was going to be cutting. Once everything was in place it was a case of quickly pulling the old hoes off, and putting the new ones already pre-filled on, loosing as little fluid as possible. I cant have lost more than a few ml (I did expect it to come flooding out, but it didnt). Pictures below.
  20. Yes, 10mm fittings, it was this one. Overall size: 13.60" (Length [including piping]) x 7.50" (Height) x 0.75" (Width) Core Size: 9.88" (Length) x 7.50" (Height) x 0.75" (Width) Inlet / outlet: 6 AN (0.375") https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-6-Row-Aluminum-Remote-Transmission-Oil-Cooler-Auto-Manual-Radiator-Converter/163290545312?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
