Hi there I got techstream running with help of a tech buddy and Zotto club member😁.
Is there can user guide on how to use the c software to clear DTCs. As I plugged in twice just to try and then ABS\VSC lights stayed on. I cleared them as I knew how do with paper clip method. Every time you use the techstream do you have the abs\vsc lights come on. Any advice be good.

Finally got set up thanks to Zotto who helped with software and my mate. Anyway all good.

Can you not just remove the driveshaft Instead of the hub.

Cheers.
Does the drive shaft need to come out to do the abs rings? Does the suspension arms need to be out.

The fronts I believe are built with the hub bearing not sure. The tears I will need to check. We're did you get the dust shield from?

You definitely need them replacing if there are filings ..........................good luck!
Was yours the front or rears. I thought the fronts on GS the abs rings are actually built into the bearing and the rears are not.. Just read it correctly it was the rears you done do you know about the fronts

Lexus GS mk2 after a wheel alignment does the GS have to be zero point calibrated? I know one member said it does but what's the procedure if you haven't got scanner tool. As when I took it to the wheel alignment place they plugged it in but couldn't do it as scanner wasn't recognising it but ended up with ABS and VSC lights on which had to bridge pins in DLC1. Any thoughts

Nice one. I checked my rears abs rings and the teeth looked o.k when looking through the hole I didn't take the whole shaft out. There was a lot of built up filings on the magnetic abs sensor which I cleaned up put back together better than before, but still odd abs kicking in low speeds, I guess it's just a matter of time I might need to replace the rings.

I've got clip removal tool. Do you have to loosen front and rear sills as the two are locked together or is it another screw.
-
Cheers going to tackle this again once I've ordered more fasteners. The two sills are joined together. I think I will try remove the drivers side to get to passenger rear..
-
I got the trim removal kit. How did you get the rear sill off?

They are very difficult to remove intact as they tend to go brittle with age...that’s why I bought replacements before trying to remove the old ones 😀
I never think that far ahead..😁 did you buy for the skills Steve. And how do you get the rear drivers side off as the skills are connected together any tips.

What best way to remove these clips. I'm finding every one I do are breaking.

I have a SC430 that suffered from these symptoms. It was the reluctor rings on the rear drive shafts . You can get various symptoms but its a common problem on older cars . The hubs corrode and press the bearing dust seal out and impinge on the reluctor wheel teeth . They wear of and cause various symptoms . easy to check . remove 10mm bolt on sensor and remove . Look at sensor . If it is covered in filings , that is the problem . Ring can be seen in hole with a torch .Its a job for a competent mechanic . Some do a bodge job on them .
How did you tackle this. New sensors or cleaned up. I've read somewhere other owners have removed the dust shields could. Completely.

Is zero point calibrarion yaw sensor the same as steering angle sensor.

Have you done a zero point calibration on the steering? If not this can cause pulling to one side.
The electric power steering needs to know where the strait ahead position is. If it thinks it is other than this it will power the steering to the position it thinks is strait. If any work is carried out on the steering like resetting the tracking this must be done.John.
Can this be done via jumping in diagnostics by any chance if so how do you do it.

Does the alignment centre do that? As when I had the alignment done I specifically asked them to do that they did try and plug it in obd reader but said it couldn't recognise the car, them abs and vsc lights came on which had to be taken off with jumping the diagnostic port.. So it couldn't be or not done properly. Does the GS have to be zero point calibrated.

Hi there anyone take a look at my readings on techstream and tell me if the Steering angle sensors and yaw rate sensors are correct readings. My car steering wheel is sitting off centre to 11 O clock position. Any help be good.
