  1. Hi guys, I have an RX400h second hand. When I bought it I noticed that this - whatever it is - above the tyres are too close to the tyres. I checked other cars but my conclusion was that it is normally covered by the car design or mudguard type of things. Where I bought it, I was told that this is totally fine and as should be - of course they did - but everywhere else was said the same... It went through 6 services (4 different ones) and 5 MOTs and nobody has said anything about it. I rolled into a tyre shop this week, where they noticed that I actually have the wrong tyres - ALL 4... nobody noticed this before... Which will give a tiny bit more space between the tyre and that thingie but not much. The tyre shop kept saying that it must be touching the tyres, but I do not feel it and if it were touching it would be an instant drag on the tyres and I am 100% sure that it would have shred the tyres to flat in the past 5 years... so of course I can see they want to sell new tyres. Regardless that is going to be done as I am worried about the size being wrong etc. I wish men would not treat women like we do not know anything or we would not understand anything or perhaps we are not worthy... I do not know, I am honestly tired of fighting men all the time.. However, I thought I give one last chance, perhaps this club will shed some light on this, why is it like that, is it for you guys as well or mine has some issues... what is it called, what do I need to say, and if I have to ask a friend's husband to roll into a service with my car and say these things and ask for advice, then I will do that... Many thanks in advance 😻
  2. Hello, I wonder if anyone could give me some advice on how to have a trunk open/close switch under the steering wheel - just like you have for the fuel cap. I wonder if this can only be done by Lexus service if so can anyone recommend a good one around Swindon? I have hard time to even find someone who sorts out my trunk not opening, just found someone recently and they said the motor is dead so now waiting for that to get it resolved, but he was very 'dismissive' about the button by the driver seat saying there must be lots of cables going around etc... I would have thought it is more of just connecting rather than actually wiring... Also, I do not have any alarm for the tyre pressure being off etc - is it something that any garage can program or it has to be Lexus service? I might think about everything way too simplified manner but thought it can b done with the diagnostic tool perhaps? If you could please let me know your experience, thoughts. It seems I bought a Lexus without the luxury 😉
  3. Hi guys, I was showed in the service how my battery is totally unsecured you can just shake it by hand. But we do not know what part needs to be ordered. Anyone had this same issue, or know what I need to buy? Many thanks! Suzie
  4. Hi guys, anyone knows a link please to download an owners manual for RX 400h SR? Or perhaps you have it downloaded and do not mind to share? I only found for 450h on lexus website and it is quite different, but still reading... Also, if anyone could send me pictures of the service book pages (especially after 100,000 miles) - I did not get anything when bought the car - so I can sort of do a booklet myself? That would tell me what milage or age I need to do what type of service etc. Many thanks! Suzie
  5. Thanks, JamesBond😋 there are several, is there a specific one you know?
  6. Thanks, Rich! Can you see on the top? Initially I thought it is the brake, but that would be silly... I am lucky there is someone in the street with the same car, but never caught them to chat with the person but checked how it is on that car and it is much higher, even though I would still call it 'near', but mine is almost touching... Do you know what that is? Thanks
  7. Anyone can recommend a trusty service/garage to check a newly bought RX 400h, please? It has fresh MOT, so all good. However, I prefer to know more about the car and the tyres are not the same - suspect that is not ideal; and not sure what the huge metal does right above the rear tyres - they seem to be too close to the tyre, so would like someone to check and tell me not to worry... 😉 Many thanks!
  8. Welcome to Europe's Leading Lexus Club! Please Enjoy!
