  1. My 2013 CT200h Advance had a TomTom card that I could update regularly on my laptop at reasonable cost via TomTom and was a very reliable satnav system. My latest (2016 Sport CT) has a built in Lexus satnav system that is generally awful, with frequent mis-directions. I’m due for a service this month and I’ll check the cost of upgrading it to the 2020 maps, but it looks as though I would be better with a separate TomTom or Garmin system placed over the built in screen!

  3. A ‘low tech’ method I use to switch between the various options (e.g. from Bluetooth when I’m listening to an Internet radio station on my phone to DAB) is to just scroll through using the Mode button on the steering wheel. You will soon learn how many presses you need to get from one option to the next and it only takes seconds, without taking your eyes off the road.
