Hello there,
I am politely looking for feedback from any ES owner member who selected this accessory on the original build or retrofitted one post delivery.
Please may I ask how you feel it looks in the flesh, does it provide adequate protection and (most importantly) do you feel it was a worthwhile addition/enhancement to your car?
TIA.

Shall we knock this on the head and retire to the virtual lounge for tea and medals?

Not many people look at BMW but certainly look an ES
Perhaps this is poppycock but……I’m not so sure that folk do look at an ES - unless they’re maybe Lexus owners/supporters.
Round my corner of the forest I only ever see one other ES - silver Takumi(?) - driving around. There don’t seem to be many on the road. Even when I went on a recent flit in and around central London, I only clocked two.
As I say, maybe it’s just my natural lack of awareness. Please do speak up and correct me if that is the case.

🥴wish I hadn’t written anything😟
Seems to have created a bit of a stir. It wasn’t ever intended.

Not the full article, but enough to give a decent taste…
…..”its quiet, grey anonymity does make a deal of sense.”
I concur entirely which is precisely why I love it. So much so I bought one! I’m simply not interested in 0-60 data, Bhp or Nm of torque. Dunno what they are on my dream machine and care even less. They’re irelevant for this motorist.
Smooth, comfortable, reliable and economic cruiser with no flashiness or kerb appeal. Yep, that’s for me.
Dull? Moi?

Hello ESers,
Word reaches me of a well known person writing a less than positive piece about the ES300h in a Sunday Newspaper, yesterday. Would any of you be able to provide a copy as I don’t take the publication in question?
If my request is perceived as parsimonious or absurd then, I of course, apologise unreservedly in advance.
TIA

Fine thing.
It’s a bit too Siberian in my corner of the forest at the moment for any activity outside. Need it to warm up more than slightly.
But please do let us know how it goes. According to Steve it should be a breeze.

Hi Kevin
If it’s of any worth to your analysis I, from time-to-time, drive from where we live in Suffolk just over the border into Essex. The duration on average is 50-60mins. Most of it is on A class roads after initially spending c. 10 mins on a dual carriageway. The trip mpg is always over 60, the best being 68.
Horses for courses but, providing you’re not caning it, I think 600 miles per tank from motorway driving is perfectly (even easily) doable.Hope that’s helpful real-life information.

Hi Neil,
Good question. I’ve not incurred any charges beyond what I paid at the point of sale. Not definitive information but merely my own experience.
Hope that’s of some help.
Cheers,

Still sub zero in my corner of the forest. Not conducive to working outside just now. Mud flap fitting remains on hold.

Further to my original post and the received wisdom of Steve SH20, if any Lexus brand rear rubber floor mats for LS 460 happen to come up for sale could somebody be good enough to drop me a line on here or give me a shout?
TIA of the friendly support of fellow members.

I’m not a kerb (pun intended) appeal buyer. So Lexus is right up my street (sorry!) as it is understated, conservative quietly and reliably doing what it says in the PR stuff.
At least that’s my view.

Ah okay. I knew they were illuminated. I just didn’t expect them to generate such an intense hue. Look v nice.

They are very classy indeed. But May I enquire where is the blue hue Emirati green from around the scuff plate and the driver’s door storage?
Was the fitting bill inc of LOC discount OOI?

Top man Steve. Now we’re talking- ordering now.
Really appreciate your technical knowledge sharing and Lexus knowledge.
Will keep you and any other interested observers updated as I get this wee project sorted.
Cheers,

The former.
Seem to be fine on my Takumi.

Morning Steve,
Please may I be a pedant and seek your opinion on this space-saver?
Given your previous clear guidance I think this will do the job. However the seller’s vehicle checker says it won’t. I think that’s because the space saver is for a GS and I put in my car as ES. So logically the seller would want to cover himself. But you know different. Would that be a correct assertion?
Sorry that I’m making a meal of this but don’t want to make a ‘Henry Halls’ by making a school boy error. Thanks in anticipation of your patience having not yet run out.

Good afternoon and thanks for those replies. I share the experience of scuff marks on my IS over the years I had it. My wife couldn’t see them but me being a fastidious old Hector could.
My car is metallic black and the darker colour the better sentiment adds to the pro lobby. The nay sayers call “too dear” but body repairs would be more expensive.
Greatly appreciate your candid feedback.
