They'll fit Pete if they came from China as per the earlier descriptions in this thread.  You may or may not want to secure the rears with the extra screw position in the actual rear arch liner NOT the actual bumper.   The fronts use  the  two 10 mm self tapping bolts already in place and one plastic button. One of the 10mm bolts is underneath.   Turn your steering to allow better access, no need to remove wheels.    The rears are held in place by 3 plastic retainers already in place and if you choose  you can use a self tapping screw  which screws into the rear arch liner and  I found it was easier to drill that pilot hole with the wheel off.   The rears will hold with the 3 plastic retainers but if you want belt and braces then the single self tapper will really secure them in place.

Thanks everso much for that advice. Being the village idiot and naturally thick, useless at DIY and bereft of any mechanic skills that guidance will go a long way to helping me achieve the aim.

However, don’t be surprised or irritated if I’m back with a few stupid questions.  Will post further in due course…..all dependent on a met improvement 🤞.

  2. UPDATE

    Stone the crows!

Mud flaps have just arrived from China - that was quick. However the weather in my corner of the forest isn’t currently suitable for fitting them.

OOI, they look as advertised but won’t know for sure if they’re bang on until I clean the car and proceed to fit.

More to follow in due course.

  3. Afternoon,

Following my Jan 1 posting, I have today received word that my order has arrived ‘in country’. Hooray! Mind you it didn’t say which country🤨.

Nevertheless, ever hopeful that I’ll be as pleased as SH20 was with their’s….when they eventually arrive.

    BFN.

  4. Hello LS colleagues,

Im an interloper from the ES crowd. Hope you don’t mind me asking for some advice on the above?

Im delighted with my ES 300 Takumi. The singular area of incomplete satisfaction is that Lexus don’t do rear seat floor mats. So I’m minded to explore the possibility of purchasing a pair of bespoke third party (sheep skin, lambs wool even? 🤷🏻‍♂️) mats.

As you are the drivers at the top end of the luxury scale, would anyone care to share their thoughts, wisdom and or experience.

    TVMIA.

  5. A nickname was ‘bestowed’ upon me by the Sales Dept @ Lexus Ipswich due to my negotiating ways. Even child 1 walked away to avoid embarrassment.

But…..in the end…..I got to where (perhaps over-ambitiously) I needed to be with the figures. I do count myself lucky not to have been told to go elsewhere🤬, if you get my drift😉!

    Dont ask, you don’t get.

Is it me or is Tel’s Post reminiscent of the finale to Brucie’s Generation Game?

When I collected my new TX Takumi from Lexus Ipswich;; I received a lot of complimentary goodies including a big bouquet of white rose flowers for the wife. The bamboo box and digital card key had an aura of sophistication that can’t be fully described

I too was fortunate enough to have experienced immense generosity from Lexus Ipswich when I took delivery of my ES Takumi. Their gifts didn’t extend to gratis front rubber mats. Instead I coughed up for them separately and I must say they are exceptionally good.

Hip hip hooray for Lexus Ipswich 👍

  8. Hello and sorry that I’m late in adding my tuppence worth on this.

I can definitely confirm that a Takumi has the ornamental lighting as part of the package, as described in the Owner’s Manual. The lume is more at the ‘subtle’ end of the scale rather than ‘retina bleaching’…..even at max brilliance. So perhaps it’s disappointing for some tastes.

Door handle illumination is equally dim but the rear door strips are very clear but not flashy.

Overall I like it as it’s not the bright light/colour fest of other manufacturers.

Hope this is of help/interest. Apologies if it’s repetitious.

    Happy new to you all.

Now….for reasons yet unidentified, I’ve become a follower/copier and done precisely this. If nothing arrives or it’s a pile of 💩 then I’ll learn my lesson.

But because a fellow member has been successful I’m more + than - about the outcome. I also ordered some other items but they were a real punt for sure.

Will keep you all advised if/when something(s) is/are delivered.

    Safe’n’comfy driving in 2022.

  10. Hi Arnett,

This is my first foray into the world of dashcams. Agree about those chairs at Ipswich. Pity they didn’t fit in my boot space as I would happily have one at home!

  11. Hello there,

Im the village idiot and particularly rubbish on tech. However in this instance I’ve found it to pair with my Iphone 10 XR (I think that’s what mine is) nay batha at all. Dunno if I can be of help or you’d prefer to maintain your respective positions of satisfaction.

  12. UPDATE  (If anybody is interested)

Great service as per usual from Ipswich.

Very neat and tidy job. Just makes a few low-key beeps when it fires up. Apart from that, it’s pretty much a passive bit of kit.

Lexus got me to download the correct app, whilst I was there, and it was quickly linked to the device. Resolution of imagery from both front and rear cameras is excellent, IMO. However, I need to read the manual to get myself fully versed on all the various functions and facilities.

Car was returned to me valeted. Result? Happiness of cse!

Hope this has been as useful a thread to other members as it has been to me. Sincerest thanks for all the contributions as well as the generosity of sharing wisdom, knowledge and experience.

    👍
