Everyone has their own taste, but the original owner not only had this car MOT'd by Stevie Wonder but he styled it too.... I just dont understand some peoples taste.....

Just over a month ago I bought this 2003 GS430 Sport as a daily driver so I could keep the miles down on my other cars and also have a little bit of a project, It was my son that got me looking at Lexus as a comfortable V8 cruiser and the fact that he'll probably buy it off me in a year or so..... I was looking for a lower miler Mk2 GS Sport and wanted the much rarer 430 V8, this popped up and although I didnt like the look of it that previous owners had done, I could see through it all and many weeks of work have been completed to change it back to standard.... So here are 5 pics of when i bought it... Awful tints, wheels, smoked rear lights, non sport grill, no rear spoiler and a pair of drainpipe exhausts that droned And then 5 more pics with freshly sourced re meshed grill and spoiler newly painted, a new set of red rear fogs, new set of standard Sport refurbed alloys, The exhaust now mdified to not drone and smaller tail pipes, awful tints removed and the MOT must have been done by Stevie Wonder in January as many of the front suspension arms were beyond road legal so these have been replaced. It now looks and drives as it should, I've still to source the rear side window "Sport" stickers that I guess will be like rocking horse doodoo to find but it now is soooooo much better in every way....

@Scatman - I've just had my GS430 Sport alignment done at a very good garage where I live in Berkshire, it took them ages as they needed to heat parts gently to free them off. They also changed the main rear arms on the front both sides and after alignment its now perfect. One of the the previous owners put BC coilovers on it and probably run it on a hard setting as I'm now gathering a collection of all arms front and back for a full refresh. I've used Tony for 2 of my other cars and what this guy knows is amazing, its a bit of a drive for me to get to him but 1000000% worth every penny...

This is a 4 year old post.... I have a powerflow system on my "new to me" Mk2 GS430 and hate it.. it drones and is being changed slightly next week to stop the droning but keep the V8 burble... if you use Powerflow just make sure they make it to your taste....

Has anyone used Toyotec in Redhill Surrey? Any feedback? Cheers Greg

Thanks but no thanks as i'm putting the car back to a standard look as the previous owners changed the wheels and removed the rear spoiler and front grill. I've sourced those two but will keep my eyes open for a set of wheels... 🙂 Cheers!

The wheels on this Sport Rich... They seem to be rare and the centre caps even rarer....

Hi all, I've looked through the "How To's" and cant find anything on this.... I'm looking for a "How To" to fit the rear sport spoiler on my GS.. It was taken off by a previous owner and I've sourced another one with all the brackets etc.. I'm aware they rivet on and feed the 3rd brake light wire into the boot lid on the LHS.. Any help on this please? Cheers Greg

I'm after a set of GS Sport Mk2 alloys, not bothered with condition but nothing bent or cracked.. with or without tyres but must have all centre caps. Cheers Greg

Morning all, A quick hello as I'm the newbie picking up a 2003 GS430 Sport on Saturday as my new daily alongside 2 other cars I own. never owned a Lexus so fancied waftiness for my daily comute to be shared with a couple of Porsches - I'm a total car nut for the 45 years as is my son who I will be passing Lexus onto in a few years if it behaves. Its a 2003/53 model, 78k miles in black with black leather and full Lexus history.. it has a few subtle mods that have been done that are not to my liking so it will be put back to standard. So i'm looking for a set of the standard GS Sport alloys if anyone knows of a set going. I've no doubt my list of bits needed will grow over the next few weeks. Cheers Greg
