Got them fitted today, couple of snaps got a bit dark and car was filthy :)

Although l-tunedparts are very good on price they expect you to jump through hoops for payment from overseas customers wiring money through a bank. I gave up when the Barclays staff just stared blankly at me with a look of wft you want me to do
Although you might have more success then me!
-
Got them today very nice chuffed :D
Tax worked out at £306 so a very happy bunny, saved a fortune. Getting them mounted on Thursday.

Could'nt find it but came across this which says it was an SC430
Does anyone know the title and artist of the Sigur Ros/Radiohead/Coldplay-sounding song used in the new Lexus SC430 advert? That's the one with the bloke driving through a silent, empty town until he opens the driver's door and the streets become flooded with people. -
Ive not seen any UK ones, if anyone has a copy would love to see them.
-
Found some commercials on my hard drive thought Id upload them for those who may not of seen them. Enjoy :P

Plan to keep it Standard?
Everyones first mod should be the Luxlink remote roof, always turns heads when the roof comes off
Hows it compare in a straight line, I had a 330ci cab before that was alot slower then the SC. The B3 has a bit more power then the SC?
-
Nice! that was the same colour combo I was looking for at first.
Welcome to the LOC :D

Chaz I think these chaps do custom SC430 interiors, not sure if they do right hand drive though.

How much did- you -pay for the aicona wheels?? ( if u don't mind me asking)
I think I got a pretty good deal, was $4850. Including shipping, I figure shipping alone is around $1000.
Also a UK dealer quoted me £4500 for the same wheels.
I don't know how much the duty will be, but my wheels have been at Heathrow for the last 4 days
Thats was from http://www.wheelexecutives.com/ speak to Joseph and he will do you a great deal, has no problem shipping to the UK and can do you pretty much any offset/size depending on wheel.
-
Thanks found it sounds good is there any suppiers in the UK?

Those wheels will look great, nice big dish.
Are you having the black or chrome?
Your R WEAPON do you find this a very good filter?
Did you need to mod to fit into your bay?
Ian
Cheers should have a 4 1/2 " lip on the rear wheels I went with the polished silver with black accents and chrome lip.
Ive not had any problems with mine and its seems ok build etc, so no complaints and its been on for a number of years. But Ive heard that the Inkjen one is better. No mods required.

Aquanuke,
Have you got your new 20" rims on yet?? I am in the process of buying 20" rims and want the same set-up of 245/35 up front and 285/30 at the rear. But many alloy wheel stores are unsure if they will fit the SC430 and unsure on offset.
With your car lowered, I am assuming you have made modifications to the wheel arches to allow the above staggered fitment??
I would really appreciate any pointers!!!
Cheers in advance!!!
I never bought the Sevas ones after all.
I ordered the Aicona ALC 35 http://www.aiconawheels.com/alc35.htm
20x9 +34 front and 20x10.5 +27 rear I went with their recommendation of what they considered the best offset for those wheels.
Will probs be another week before I receive them
-
I would consider +18 and +25 to both be low offsets. The offsets are going to affect how the spokes look but will vary from each due to their design. I would more look at offsets as the higher the more inwards the wheel would be and the lower the more the rim will be outwards to the wing of the car.
As for the caliper clearance that would be more to do with having high disk or low disk wheels although I think you would only need to worry if you had a big brake kit. I would guess low disk would clear the stock calipers fine.
Rubbing will more of an issue if you go wider, if your going with 8.5 all round then you will be fine as thats very conservative.

Sorry for the delayed reply, but thanks once again for the informative answers you provide to my questions.
Been phoning over the past few days looking to get a set of 20's. Really excited!!!
Cheers
Nice show us the pics when you get them :D

With the amount of money it cost to do that conversion. After watching the end result I think everyone would agree it was a waste :(
-
Would that just plop straight into my LS430?
Should do, but it was just a one off TT conversion.
-
For the money its hard to justify 60-75 additional horses (£7,000) for the Toms or the Blitz supercharger. I think that Lextreme TT has long been broken and returned to stock.
Theres been a number of TT SC430's including this very tasty one.

they are quite cheap to import from Japan as a Soarer now that they were sold as a lexus from 2006..........quite a few dealer import them as a soarer and put the lexus badges on
I can spot an import from a mile away, couple of differences apart from the badging. Easiest way would be the nasty looking reflectors on the back of the UK ones. All the ones ive seen have been UK. Infact only can think of one import one ive seen that I chatted to the owner with at a petrol station.
I would think alot of SC's are changing hands at this time of year good time to sell and the new owners taking extended drives :D

I saw 4 in one afternoon last week. In the past i've gone months without seeing another. Any one else seeing more or is it just me.

For TV and DVD you can try the nav tool http://www.tvandnav.com/index.asp?PageActi...&ProdID=121
or maybe contact this chap in the UK to see if he can change a UK spec car http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LEXUS-SC430-IMPORT-F...6.c81.m20.l1116
For the 06 LED lights you can buy them from a lexus dealer they quoted me around £430 for the everything but you wont get an upgraded ECU so your light out warning will be on in the dash. If you want the ECU you can get it from Sewells http://www.sewellpartsonline.com/parts_det...89401&all=Y
As for the wood trim you will be best getting it refinished theres no kits I know of. Maybe something like this http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...ap+racing+blitz

They do look awsome. Would they fit on a 2004 LS430?
I had a look on rotora's site http://www.rotora.com but there not listed for LS, but they are also not listed for my car. So maybe worthwhile contacted them. I should think they would be the same but with a different bracket.
I love the brake set up and love the car.Sorry i dont like the wheels, but still think your got the best SC430 on here.
How much have you drop the car by?
Ian
Quite a bit of a drop, we never measured it before and we adjusted it twice. I would think about 3/4" on the front and 1 & 1/4" on the back. The front Wald spoiler is very low so could not go any lower.
New wheels are next Im still in search of my perfect wheel
-
fantastic looking car :D
its great how those 20" wheels make the brakes look small, but at near on 14" they are huge
haha very true, you would have a hard time finding anything bigger and they do look small :D
