I have managed to get my £200 bargain up and running for a mere £130. Have covered a good few miles but have no service history. Auto transmission would I be ok with sump dump new filter and dump again after 500 miles or so. Cambelt would like to change as matter of course do I change water pump and crank pulley. Engine oil and filter, flush cooling and refill with I assume oat anti freeze. Any advice on what else to do and lubricant recommendations etc would be much appreciated. Neil.

Found it thank you.Car now up and running sweet. Have a couple of issues to sort, car doesn't lock off fob makes a long shrill but unlocks. still original key. power fold mirrors don't operate, cant open tailgate only from inside.

Does anyone know where this is hidden part no 626403-000. I bought ignition kit for my non starter. full steering column with ign and key,ecu ,and the immobiliser all from the same year car late 2004. I have the dash in pieces parts all over the show but for the love of me I cant find it spent hours trawling google. Anyone have an idea would be much appreciated. Neil.

Have decided to bite the bullet and swap the ecu if that doesn't work then will cut my losses and dismantle.

Just spent the afternoon doing all that fitted a brand new battery today. Other thing i noticed is doors unlock with remote but wont lock with fob just get an high pitched beep. also no sign of an immobilizer light when car is locked. engine turns over and just when you think its going to start ie nano second fire it carries on spinning. Checked under bonnet fuses passenger side. will search for other fuses and check earth strap. I had noticed there is a humming/whirring behind dash drivers side when key turned on. Thank you for your input.

Hi newby here. Just purchased an 04 Lexus RX300. The previous owner was going to scrap as he damaged some wiring fitting a set of air horns. The wiring has been repaired but the car refuses to start . My Delphi diagnostic showed me 10 fault codes ECU 10, P0102 Mass or volume air flow low A Circuit low. P0112 intake air temp sens1 low,P0117 coolant temp sens 1 low,P0121 throttle pedal pos sens A circuit range, p0122 pedal pos sens A low, p0222 throttle pos sens / switch B circuit low, p0560 system voltage, p0712 trans fluid temp sensor A circuit low, p2135 throttle pedal pos sensor /switch A/B voltage correlation , p2138 pos sensor D / E voltage correlation. Any ideas or advice much appreciated. Neil.

Hello I'm Neil from leics. Just bought my first Lexus its an RX300 SE 2004 . Got it cheap £200. previous owner fitted new discs calipers and pads 2 new wishbones and lots of other bits. Problem is it wont start after he drilled through some wires. Wires fixed still no go. Scrappy offered him £150 so I upped to 200. if I cant sort can always break 6 months mot whats to lose. Hope to fix with some forum help please cos I wanted it since he bought it. Neil.
