  1. Try megazip. The website seems a bit sketchy but have ordered there before and worked out fine. They have pretty good catalogs making it easy to find parts like this edit: could it be on here? https://www.megazip.net/zapchasti-dlya-avtomobilej/toyota/lexus-is-42401/ave35-54978/ave35-aexlh-910950/seat-belt-child-restraint-seat-17735239
  2. Hi all, has anyone else noticed any occasional popping / crackling noises when streaming music through Bluetooth in the is300h? Mine is a late 2013 model so might be that this is only in the older navigation system models. I am using an iPhone X. it does not happen when I connect through usb. Have played with the equalizer too ( I know it has to be set separately for each audio source ) but that is not it. What tends to help is pausing the music and then continuing to play it again. It might be an iphone problem but then again it does not happen on other Bluetooth speakers. any thoughts? Thanks guys!
  3. Hi all, I had the usual bonnet latch closure problem (bonnet would pop open at highway speeds, particularly during windy weather). I know cleaning the part is a temporary, perhaps permanent fix but I do long international trips frequently and want to be 100% sure it works reliably. I ordered part 53510-53090 which is indeed the right part, except it is for RHD drive and my car is LHD. The correct part for LHD is 53510-53100. This post is meant as a reference in case anyone else is looking for this part. Simultaneously if anyone needs the RHD latch (53510-53090), I now have one left over, so send me a PM 🙂
  4. Is this fuel consumption you mention measured by the on board computer? If so, you really need to drive it a while to get good results after a reset. Best to reset it after refuel and then not touch it until you fuel up again. There is also “consumption after refuel” somewhere in the menus. Here in hilly Switzerland I get about 5.2-5.4 l/100km with some city, mostly highway driving in my 2013 is300h with 17” wheels on primacy 4 tyres (according to the onboard computer, that is). I’d say indeed check the brakes - sliding pins tend to stick. Also you might want to clean your hybrid fan filter at that mileage (not done during service). There is a how to on this forum.
  5. Are you sure it’s the fuel pump and not the electric motors spinning up?
  6. This has been a fantastic how to and indeed it seems my gas mileage has improved. Question to everyone- is it normal to hear the fan running during a drive? I never noticed it before (guess it was that clogged), but now that it’s clean I hear it blasting air inside the battery every now and then. Especially seems to happen on a long descent where the battery gets fully charged (and I guess therefore heats up). I do have to note I have very sensitive hearing so it may just be me picking this up. Just curious if anyone else noticed it too.
  7. Hmm, I have never done this after having new tires fitted. I also don’t change anything when switching between my set of 16” winter wheels and 17” summer wheels. I just reprogram the TPMS with Carista and that’s it. On top of that (on any car regardless of make) I usually have the 4 wheel alignment done every two years just in case. What are you worried about? Inaccuracy of speedometer? If you’re running the same size alloys that should be negligible- I have not even noticed any major difference between my summer/winter wheel sizes.
  8. They definitely did not evacuate the refrigerant and put it back in. I once had it with them for the whole day just to check the A/C and they just ran it to check whether it is cold enough. They also said the inspection glass showed the appropriate level of refrigerant. Just a few weeks ago I had it with them again for major service (150k km) and they performed the same check. If it gets worse I’ll ask them to remove and replace/add actual refrigerant. For now, on a recent trip to south Italy where we had 40+ C the AC actually performed flawlessly.
  9. All, I thought I’d provide a quick update on this for anyone’s future reference or benefit. My local dealer checked the issue twice on two separate occasions. The air is as cold as it should be and the level of refrigerant is in order as well (apparently there is an inspection glass somewhere). So, we’ve left this as-is. The noise seems to be completely gone during very hoge weather (35 C and above), and is more present when the weather is cooler. im not bothered by it and it’s been running like this for over 1.5 years now (since I got it). If I ever find out more I’ll keeps you guys posted.
  10. I indeed keep the AC on at all times, winter or summer. Had some issues with a musky smell when I bought the car, now this is mostly gone, probably also because I always try to disable the recirculated air setting. Thanks for your thoughts everyone, I'll stop by the dealers in the course of next week or so, and will let you know the outcome
  11. Thanks, yeah I guess I will get it checked out. Nobody else on here who got their AC system refilled? Any symptoms or indications of when (mileage / age) it needed a refill?
  12. Hi all, Long time forum reader finally registering for some advice. I drive an IS300h in Switzerland, it's a silver 2013 model just sitting at about 130k KM. Since I bought the car used in March 2019 I have noticed a gurgling noise coming from the AC system upon startup. It is definitely the AC as the noise goes away when I turn off the AC, and comes back when I turn it back on. The noise always goes away after about 30-60 seconds after startup of the car and does not come back for the remainder of the drive. It comes back after I shut the car down, let it sit for a while and restart - at which point it will again only last 30-60 second before it goes away The AC is ice cold for as far as I can tell, it is definitely way colder than my previous Honda ever was. The noise is very similar, if not exactly the same, to what is shown in this video. Anyone with a similar issue, or thoughts what it could be? I have considered it may be low on refrigerant, but as the air is so cold, not sure that could really be the case. My old honda did not cool properly when it was low on refrigerant.
