Have seen the LX driving around the Middle East for a few years.
Not quite got the off road reputation of the Land Cruiser yet, but it is up there and boy does it look super.

Where do people get to on their web browsing expeditions.
I came across this little gem tonight on the BBC web site
http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/clue/clips/charades.html
Enjoy !!

How about getting the dealers to put an information sheet in the pack of info they give you when they hand the car over.
I had never heard of the club before June, and I had been a Lexus owner for 3 years prior to that.

DON'T SHOUT TOO LOUD !!
They will hear what they are missing and start buying Lexi.
We don't want too many of them do we ?
Paul (Ex 3 series owner !!)
PS It is not just BM drivers that want to take you on, my favourites are Ford Focus, Zetec of course (Yawn)

Welcome and hope you enjoy the car. Guess most of us here like them. The cars may not yet be perfect, but hey life's like that !!

Oh it was dust. I thought I had had a new idea for a paint job. Instead of a pearlised finished, have a Martian one - red dust !!
-
. . . and while we are waiting for all the stories and some more pics, how about a vote of thanks for all those who put their own time into the organisation. Step forward Zee and all !!

Have just tried the Halfords own brand and seemed to work OK (but wouldn't you know it the rain stopped a couple of days after application).
What I can say is that rain, and even light drizzle come to that, clear off windscreen without wipers at between 45-50mph. When using wipers the visibility was superb.

Interesting post for me.
As a newbie here, would be interested to know what work they consider they need to know about.
Do horns count, how about painted calipers? Where do they draw the line?
I know they want more premium, but there must be some things they do not want to know about.

On which subject, my other half was the first to drop one in the new car, on the way back from the dealer no less.

Well, I liked the IS200 so much I got an IS300, and am not dissapointed.

OK - anyone buyin IS machines in the Woodford area ask for Mark.
-
Good news, but still think you have room for a garager there !!
-
Lexus Woodford done. Second new purchase, same salesman no problem for me (can I name names ??)
-
Would you pay more or less to have Ruby Wax as co-driver (as in the TV prog)?!
I'm a Ruby Wax fan. She can share my car if she likes.
It's the rolling eyes that does it for me.

I had to have my wife's head between my legs while I was driving to try and figure out what it was !!
:wow:
Did not find it - trying again when it gets dark
-
Just filled the form out, and confirming here as well - did think that I would be too late !!

Isn't it amazing the number of people who do not give a signal nowadays, that and bad lane discipline is just keeping the paint shops in business.

Sounds like you are the same Chris, may be because the wheel is not coming back fast enough, but not a lot I can do about that when on a roundabout.
I do have to manually cancel, but in the new car the indicator tell tale click is a bit quieter and I am missing it :(
-
Anyone get a problem with the indicator failing to return to middle position after a left turn, in particular on a roundabout. Have had two IS's now and same symptom on both.
Any ideas ??

I'm an IT Project Manager for a bank in London.

Searched for "IS300" on Yahoo

If you really want to try a car "stepping out" then go borrow a Lotus Elise, power round a corner and take your foot off !!
Ooops, is that the back end coming to meet me.
I had the embarrasment of doing that on a test driving day, and took the timing the timing equipment along with me.

Think it depends on which (or if any) spoiler you have. I had a 200 Sport before which had the large spoiler that stood off the boot surface. Boot hardly opened at all. Now have a 300 with the lip spoiler, and the boot opens to about half way.
There are some metal bars at the back of the boot at the top which look like some kind of spring. Any clues?
