  1. Hi The TomTom Nav versions were sold in the NL as well and I remember that remote having 2 AAA batteries and are located on the bottom of the remote. But if the blue light lights up and flashes I assume the batteries are still ok? Maybe you just have to reconnect since you haven't used it for a while.

  3. You mentioned in another thread that the car had been sitting for a while. Since the 12V battery in a CT is relatively small and drains faster than a regular 12V battery if the car sits for a while for instance, I would include to check the battery health in your list. Best would be to buy a new one so you know it's history and age. This car can give all sorts of electrical errors, all dashllghts on etc. if the 12V battery is not in good health. Mine read 75% health at the dealer when serviced, still in good health according to them, but a week later my car failed to start... Changed with a new one and all was back to normal.
  4. Where I said F-Sport in my post, I meant Sport Pack Plus as the upgrade from the Sport. The F-Sport is indeed another trim upgrade with, as you said, different suspension. Well, at least it gave you some extra information and congrats on the purchase!
  5. Not in the UK myself, but I always like to "investigate" these kind of things just for fun. It looks like in the UK Lexus offered a Sport and a F-Sport. https://mag.lexus.co.uk/high-value-sport-model-leads-new-2017-lexus-ct-range/ The Sport had a more basic trim which could be upgraded to a F-Sport with i.e. sunroof, sensors, smart key entry etc. Maybe that's why you found CT's listed as Sport where some had those options and some don't.
  6. Yes, I do the hard braking regularly putting the car in Neutral to male sure it doesn't brake on regen but the sound is still there. I will look into those EBC Greenstuff pads, thank you for the tip!
  7. I have the same noise. It only makes that noise just before I come to a complete stop so at slow or slowing down speed. When I bought the car it didn't make that noise but it did after a month or so. I went back and had it checked out by the dealer I bought the car from and they put some grease on the front brakepads. The sound went away for a month or so and then it came back again. Had my car serviced at another (Toyota)garage and asked them what it was and they said it's "normal" or at least common for the CT but nothing was wrong or needed to be fixed. I did find some posts online and forums with a similar problem and from what i understand is that in the worst case it is the brake actuator which is starting to fail. I hope not because that's an expensive part to replace. It's been 3 years since I got this car and it still has that noise but brakes work fine.
  8. Are the DRL's switched on in the settings menu?
  9. If I'm correct those are the sensors for your alarmsystem. They can be switched off with that button in the middle.
  10. I posted a YT video on the CT200 forum a while back form someone who also had moist problems. Might be worth checking out if your car has that leakage problem also. https://www.ct200hforum.com/threads/new-member-with-2012-car-and-bizarre-and-scary-electrical-problem.150176/#post-1812933 Video:
  11. I know, besides it being illegal in NL, it's not my kind of thing. I did read on their website that they offer an only white version and the one in the video is on of the options they have.
  12. In case anyone wants more than just a plug and play LED headlight conversion, found these on YT.
  13. Hi Stuart, I already forgot that I also posted this on this forum and I'm glad it helped you! I looked at the one you bought on the amazon link but didn't see the 3 blink lane change feature in the description, but as you said it does have that feature. And for only £10 I'm still glad I bought the Smart Tap relay and use the "tap to blink" everytime. Not only for overtaking but especially on the many roundabouts ( with crossing bicycles) we have here in The Netherlands. Thank you for your reaction! Cheers!
  14. This might be what you're looking for? https://www.ct200hforum.com/threads/diy-tutorial-automatic-folding-mirrors-easy.149428/#post-1810234
  15. Very nice FSport! 👍 Seeing your car in the same colour with the FSport grill convinced me to replace my grill to the FSport mesh grill. Subtle difference, but looks much better IMO.
  16. Just to add; I don't know what the speed limit is on A roads around London, but you probably will be using the engine more than the electrical engine on those roads. The car changes to EV mode automatically at lower speeds which, funny enough, makes driving in a traffic jam or innercity traffic more fuel efficient because it will run in EV more.
  17. I think it's a non-issue. When driving the car the battery will always be charging. Every time you break/slow down it will charge. You can see when it's charging on the display. If the battery isn't enough charged yet, you just can't drive it in EV and you will run on the "normal' engine. My experience is that the battery is fully charged in less than 10 minutes. Usually you will run more on the electric engine in city traffic.
  18. Hi Graeme The LED replacement is very easy and took me about 30 minutes. I also found that YT link you posted and used that as reference before I switched my interior lights. The only thing I did different was the reading lights. I found it easier to first remove the small covers in front of the lights instead of prying the covers off with the tool. You can see in this picture. Also the trunk light in my car (2011) has a different shape. I see you have a 2014 so maybe your's are the same as in that YT video. I don't know the type but it's the one in the picture. The one I bought is actually too big so it doesn't fit perfectly. I did get it in and working, but I need to find a better sized one. Trunklight are same size, but the metal ends are a bit different. This is where I got mine: https://www.ledperf.eu/led-for-lexus-ct-=c=-985_811_841.html And the SmartTap relay: https://www.diodedynamics.com/by-vehicle.html?find=2011-lexus-ct200h-317117&sid=RiKt3gbAhQ You can find LED interior package on Ebay UK also: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=led+interior+light+lexus+ct+200&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_odkw=led+interior+light+lexus+ct+200&_osacat=0 Cheers! Martin @northernstar Yes agreed :-)
  19. Was looking in every setting and manual available to do just that, but you also probably found out yourself that it's not possible to set it to 24 hour setting... Seems the primary/main market for the CT was the US so Lexus didn't bother to fit a 24 hour setting clock. Well, I just have to get used to it then.. 😏
  20. Thanks for the welcome! Loving the car so far hope I will drive it for a long time. No it was not the Tapturn, but SmartTap from diodedynamics. My guess is that both relay's have the same functions and features, just a different brand I think. I just finished teh write up 🙂
  21. Maybe someone on here already did this mod, but I couldn't find it on the forum so I just wanted to share. My previous car had a comfort flasher. I knew the 2011 CT doesn't have this and I thought it wasn't something I would miss. After a few months of driving it actually was something that I missed in this car, maybe because I got used to it in my previous car. Luckily there is an aftermarket flash relay which has this feature and works with the CT so I ordered the SmartTap from diodedynamics. On the CT200forum https://www.ct200hforum.com/threads/install-led-turn-signals-and-flasher-relay.131953/ I already read that the relay is very hard to reach and remove, but I will only know if I tried, right? The location of the flasher relay is indeed really hard to get to. The only way to reach it is from underneath the left panel. I have a LHD and for a RHD it will be the right panel. So for a RHD everything I did should be mirrored if that makes sense... 🙂 I took the panel off just to see if I could see it from there but it is hidden way back there so couldn't see the relay. See pic. I put the panel back in place because it doesn't have to be taken off to remove the relay. So with my hazards on to feel and hear the relay clicking, I laid on my back with my head under the breakpedal looking up and I reached up with my hand to feel the position of the relay. Just feel where the cable to the relay goes in so you know you have to slide the relay off/out to the opposite side of the cable. I my car I had to slide it towards the center of the car, away from the driverside door. I read that some CT's have a different position of the relay sitting in the bracket and have to slide it to the back of the car. Just feel the position of the cables and you know where it slides off to. I was prepared for it to be very hard to slide off, but once I knew which way it had to slide I just applied some force with my fingers and it came off in the first try!! Replaced the original one with the SmartTap and didn't bother to put in back in the bracket but just ziptied the cable and relay to some metal part underneath the panel, Done! All in all it took me about 30 minutes and that is only because I took the panel off first to look for the relay. Ok, so what do I have now? - Comfort flash; tap the stalk and the blinker will flash 4 times (programmable up to 9 times) - Hazard lights can be set to normal, slo-mo, strobe or wig-wag(left, right, left, right etc).... Fun feature, but mine is set to normal 🙂 - Arrival and departure lights. Now this is a feature I really like because the early model CT's don't have this option. When I unlock the car, my flashers stay lit for 10 seconds. Same thing when you lock the car. You can set the time you want it to stay lit in 10 second steps from 10 to 30 seconds. It just gives you that extra light when you 're parked in a dark spot. Kind of "follow me home/find my car" thing. Very practical. Programming is easily done with the stalk inside the car so no need to dive down to the relay again. 🙂 Simple mod, but I think it's worth it! Cheers! Martin
  22. Hello to all! I'm a new CT owner from The Netherlands and bought my CT a couple of months ago. I have been reading a lot of information about this car on this forum and since I did some minor mods I thought I might as well sign up and share it. My CT is a 2011, Business Line Pro in Tungsten Pearl with the OEM 17" wheels and black Nulux leather interior and I bought it with 182K km. After a few months driving it, I can really say I love driving this car! My first Hybrid and so far I am very happy with the feel and handling of the CT200. I never was a "burn-rubber" kind of driver, so the ride with this car really fits my driving style. As for fuel consumption, without trying I already managed to get 1liter:20km which is about 56mpg UK if I'm correct. This was in warm weather. I did the interior and license plate lights update and changed them all to LED. Big impovement. Apart from being brighter it just gives the car an updated/modern look. The LEDs I used are white 5000K because the 6000K have a slighty blue-ish look which I personally don't like. I also changed the flasher-relay so now I have the comfort-tap where I just tap the stalk and it flashes 4 times. The 2010-2013 models didn't have this feature. I have a write up which I will post in another thread. Maybe it will be helpful to somebody who wants to do the same. Cheers! Martin
