  1. Tracker is effective, but not always. The night my car got jacked the weather prevented the police helicopter (it was raining ??) so they could not pursue despite me notifying Tracker immediately. They had to rely on the in car units to locate the car, which as it happened had been abondoned half a mile down the road.

Another point on Tracker. Do you really want a car back after it has been stolen? I somethimes think I'd have been happier never to see my again. The hassle getting it back, and then the way it doesn't feel the same....

  2. I'm really sorry to hear that mate, I totally feel for you. Same thing happened to me at end of January last year, I got car jacked while I was with a friend in Ikea car park. That was when I had Impreza though, I had hoped it was less likely to happen with the IS :(

  3. Hmm... of course, irrespective of the IS beating the cossie, we all know the cossie had its day.. cause the Impreza's & Evo's have been whipping it for over 10 years now :)

I certainly don't remember the 1998 cossie ever managing 0-60 in 5.8!! I think we're in the territory of urban legends here.

  4. Arn't there other parts needed too though, it's not just a case of adding a s/c from what I have read...

    Oil cooler..

Heat shield or 1st box removal

    induction kit

    All adds up ......

Sounds to me like you got a sales pitch for additional OPTIONAL extra's... if you NEEDED those things to add a supercharger, I think TTE would be obliged to point that out, or to at least offer them as part of their range, which to my knowledge they do not.

  5. I'm confused.. so Brettsold it.. then he sold it again??

The group buy didn't go ahead yet, there were only two confirmed interets. I'm guessing that with xmas looming at the time, cash flow was the issue to those who had originally wanted to sign up

  6. Guys on Scoobynet said the ZZ1s were lethal! Did you find they were ok? Not one person had a good thing to say about them, especially in the wet! I thought they had been replaced now with the marginally better ZZ3s?

What about trying the new Toyo T-1R? Eagle F1 GSD3 ? If you shop around you can get the price down, but as Anees said, this is one area you don't want to stick to a budget on, especially with the kinf of power your putting on the road Paul ;)

There is also the new Toyo R888.. the first road legal track day tyre ;)

  7. Hmmm.. I don't see how this kind of survey can be done. Most women can't tell one make/type of car from the other when asked. Lets face it, how many times have you asked, what kind of car is it... answer: "er.. a blue one... " or ".. its a nice one..."

I have to say though, I don't ever remember thinking ".. now will women think this car is sexy..." when I have ever looked at buying a car

  8. De-cat will usually yield some results, more noticeable on a forced induction engine. I'm hoping to at least remove the pre-cats when I got for the SC. If I read correct and you are lpg'd I have no idea of what results to expect. I had a friend who went LPG on a brand new Subaru Legacy.. only to find the valve seats were burnt out at 12000 miles.. and was informed this would be a regular thing
