  1. I am a little confused about the RC F not being available to order. Mine is very much "on order" and is on its way to the UK, as I "write". I too am very keen on having a sun roof. This was one of the factors that caused me to order a Porsche 911 last September (instead of a Cayman S). I cancelled my order 3 months later, having got fed up/annoyed about the EU's treatment of the UK at that time. Events that have occurred since then have further convinced me of the wisdom of doing this. Instead, I ordered a Mazda MX-5 RF and a Lexus RC F. Literally, two for the price of one! As has already been indicated by other members, and commented upon by the OP, new naturally aspirated V8s are not long for this world. In fact, Toyota has recently patented a 4 litre V8 (not sure if this is to be turbo-charged or super-charged but it will be one or the other), which seems destined to replace the 5 litre naturally aspirated power plant. I had not really appreciated the rarity of the RC F until a little while after I had ordered it but I am sure that my neighbours will be making lots of positive comments, if their reaction to the MX-5 RF is anything to go by (still relatively uncommon). There are lots of BMWs and Audis around but few Lexus cars and even fewer RC Fs. The dealership seems particularly excited about this car; they tell me that whenever they get one in for servicing, they all gather round to admire it - and listen to the V8, of course!
  2. I didn't try the 1.5 litre one, AJ, but the 2 litre version is great! The only thing about it that I would like to be different is the addition of a conventional glove box. My wife struggles to access the one at the back. I have the GT Sport Tech, in deep crystal blue, with a very light interior. It looks great! Dav, I haven't seen the A110 "in the flesh", but I don't think I could love those weird front lights! I guess it's an acquired taste?
  3. Go for it, AJ! The ND2 is a great little car, but you already know that! Those three cars sound like an excellent combination. Chris.
  4. "Getting fun at lower speeds is more and more important to me" - So try an MX-5! In view of the EU's treatment of the UK, both in the run-up to Brexit and subsequently, European cars are now off the agenda for me. In fact, I cancelled my order for a 911 for this reason. Instead, I ordered an MX-5 RF (which I now have) and an RC-F, which is on its way from Japan right now. So literally, "two for the price of one"! I expect to be delighted with both cars and won't be going anywhere near a track with either of them.
  5. Lexus Croydon - Pleased to hear of your great experience, @Arnett! That's where I am buying my RC F from and ultimately, will have it serviced. My buying experience has been great. - Well done Martin and Sam on their sales team! Every time I ask a question (by email), one of them comes straight back with an answer and/or a helpful suggestion. My experience couldn't be more different than with a certain Porsche dealer, where the customer seemed to be an inconvenience, even before the deposit was paid. Once paid, emailed questions were routinely ignored or answered a few days later. It also took a month to get my deposit back. In spite of poor service from the Porsche dealer, this was not the reason for cancelling my order after 3 months. Incidentally, I also had great service from the Mazda garage (Phil at "Masters" in Eden Park/Beckenham), when I bought my MX-5 RF. He was equally attentive and helpful throughout the buying process.
  6. Thanks for the suggestion. Not sure that this would go down too well with my wife - if it was triggered accidentally! I also use a steering lock ("Stop Lock", I think it's called) which has a big yellow arm, so hopefully, that will serve as a useful deterrent.
  7. Hi Vlad, Thank you for such a great welcome! I shall be delighted to share pictures of my new "baby"! I have it insured from 1st July, so I rather hope that I shall have it on that day! The timetable looks fine, as it should reach the UK on 6th June, and the dealer's a week later. This gives me a couple of weeks to organise the Tracker, before I can drive it away.
  8. Hi members of this Forum, I have just joined, in anticipation of receiving my new "sonic red" RC F, which is currently on its way from Japan and due for collection on 1st July. I cancelled my order for a German sports car in December (I'll leave you to guess why) and ordered the Lexus instead. The deciding factor - to buy the RC F, rather than any other non-EU car - was that it was already on my shortlist when I came across a red RC parked at the roadside, whilst walking home from my first C-19 jab. I was completely blown away by it! (I didn't stop talking about it for days - actually, I still talk about it). The fantastic V8 in the RC F, and the lack of forced induction, only added to my reasons to buy. My other car is a Mazda MX-5 RF.
