  1. Thanks all, I am in Adaptive CC, will see what the dealer comes back with when he has spoken to the tech people.
  2. My old Volvo and friends other cars (VW) break when on cruise control and going downhill to maintain the speed. My RX does do that and will keep going until gravity or I break which I believe is wrong. If I set say 30mph and go down a hill the cars speed will increase, however if I change the CC speed on stork to 25 then the car will break I have logged a call with Lexus about this and had a phone call with the service manager who said it cant break as that would disengage the CC. I have advised him that the radar breaking and changing the speed of the CC does cause it to break and it is only pressing the break that will turn off the CC so why doesnt the car break on its own. I feel this is a software problem, has anyone else noticed this or raised this with their dealer ?
  3. I was using the adaptive high beam for the first time yesterday, it worked very well but I noticed when I was driving at 40mpg in a dark area the shaded high beams didn't turn on. The manual refers to 38mpg but mine weren't on until about 41. Does anyone know if these can be changed (there doesn't seem to be anything in the manual) but I wondered if there was a third party way to change the settings Thanks
  4. Hi i may have missed this in the manual. The current Rx450 doesn’t have a B for engine breaking or a low gear/being a cvt so what is the recommended way to drive down very steep hills ? thanks
  5. The main concern is continuing the book from where we left off. With a USB left in the car it would hopefully remember where it was last played and simply continue. If it’s on the phone then I may have listened to music or something else since I was in the car and have to find the place again which on a 24disc audiobook takes time. I must admit though I am not familiar with listening to music on AA other than Spotify
  6. Thanks Paul, suspect I will need to ask the salesman to show me how he managed it, then it may be an awkward conversation. Having specifically asked this question its annoying to then find out the answer wasn't correct. I admit it is a first world problem.
  7. Hi, I am lucky enough to be taking delivery of a new car in next week or so. Can someone advise how many USB Media ports there are. I specifically asked the dealer if it was possible to play USB media while Android auto was working and got the message back that he watched a colleague play his own music alongside Android Auto and a video to prove it. I am now doubting if the music was on a USB stick but on his as the online manual looks like there is only one media port and also says that USB media is disabled with Android Auto. For those wondering we often listen to audio books in the car so having a completely separate media stream is important Can someone clarify for me Thank you
  8. Hi this was a big concern with me. I have an XC90 which has had multiple niggles over the past 3 years or so. It got to the point when I no longer trust the car. This is a shame as I love the rest of it. I drove an RXL at a local dealer, not as fast or as big boot and the tech and dashboard was a little dated (cd player !) but liked the comfort and the reliability should be good. I deliberated for quite a while, the infotainment screen was poor quality and literally just out of reach when driving so would have to rely on the touchpad but in the end I took the decision and I hope I won’t be disappointed. There were a few compromises to be sure but the reliability swung it for me. cant wait to see a redesigned RX when that happens
